Today, I will review a gloss that I had bought out of sheer nostalgia. I remember having the Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Tinted Lip Gloss in the shade Cherry Sheen and I loved everything about it. That used to be the one glam touch in my monotonous “kajal, compact” makeup look. In fact, I used to wait for occasions just because I would get a chance to apply the gloss. When I came across this product on an online website, I knew I had to grab this Revlon Raisin Rage Lip Gloss. Find out if I loved it or not.

My Experience with Revlon Raisin Rage Super Lustrous Lip Gloss:
Packaging: This gloss comes in a transparent plastic tube with a black twist cap. There is a golden rim in the middle with the Revlon logo embossed and it looks very elegant. The shade name is mentioned in a colour shaded sticker at the. It is pretty convenient to carry in the purse.
Applicator: It has a nice doe-foot applicator that brings out the right amount of product. As the applicator is not very flat, it helps in precise application.
Colour, Texture, Fragrance: This is a bloody, burgundy shade that will look beautiful on every skin tone. It gives a very sheer kind of coverage. If you have dark lips, it won’t cover that up. The colour does not look that dark when applied on bare lips, but it gives a very vampy kind of finish when applied on maroon lipstick (I applied it on top of Sugar cosmetics Poison Ivy matte lip crayon in the swatch). Wear it on a maroon lipstick if you want to unravel the headstrong woman residing inside you. The pigmentation is good for a sheer gloss. The best thing about it is the presence of Vitamin E that makes lips super soft and plump. I applied it on dry lips and after 5 minutes, my lips looked super soft and healthy. Even after it fades away, the softness stays back. When I apply, it looks a little uneven initially, but then slowly, it looks smooth and evenly spread. It looks a little shiny although I did not see any shimmer, but the shine is not over the top and you can wear it to your workplace too. I apply it to my lab everyday as I don’t have a problem with showing my pigmented upper lips. There is a sweet, faint fragrance that fades as soon as you apply it. I love it as the Lotus gloss used to smell the same and I love this sweet smell in my makeup products.
Staying Power: It is not food or water-proof and vanishes as soon as you eat or drink anything. Otherwise, it stays for 2-3 hours after which it fades away leaving pink tinted, soft lips, but I do not mind reapplying the gloss and I am pretty okay with the process.

- The only con probably is the fact that there is nothing special in it.

May be I will find some similar shade which will be a little more budget friendly. There is nothing special about it, so it is not a must have, but you won’t regret if you grab this lip gloss.
