Revlon Shiny Sheers Lip Color: Sheer Mauvy Star Review

Another lip product review :P, but I think all of them are different. This one is absolutely off beat, totally new in terms of textures I own and have reviewed earlier.  I got this on some offer at Big Bazaar, where the Streetwear lady asked me if I would like to get this or a nail enamel in white. The whole packaging and the name “Sheer Lip Color” thrilled me and I thought it’s the right chance to try on something sheer, not the crème texture I usually do.

I haven’t heard of this product at all. In fact, I saw it there for the first time.  I don’t know any background to this one and if someone else has used it before, please enlighten me. As for me , I run away from glosses and this is my chance to experiment with a glossy lipstick, that’s a oxymoron.

The lipstick’s packaging is to die for.  I adore the long stick, shiny black and gold one, which is so slim and sleek, it can make any lipstick lover go weak. I picked it up primarily for this reason and then to try out a sheer lipstick for a change. The cap clicks lock in place and it feels very sturdy. For that matter, even the lipstick inside feels very sturdy despite being a sheer and feeble looking lipstick.

The shade is so true to the product’s name, its actually mauve, its sheer, and its starry. This product has duochrome shining glitters in it, very sparse, nothing concentrated at all. Just a little twinkle of duochrome mauve glitter here and there, I absolutely love it.

The texture is like that of a lip balm honestly, its duochrome no doubt and it is very sheer.  It has a glossy shine to it and feels a little sticky too, but on the lips, it glides on so well. It is amazingly moisturising and the finish is like that of a glistening gloss, gorgeous!

This is the right product for office and college girls if you don’t wear lipsticks, but it is overpriced as it is definitely more than Rs. 500 I am not sure. The staying power is like that of a thick lip balm.

Last Word:

For me, its like a soft lip balm, I prefer thick lipsticks any day, but if you like glosses and are just starting out with lip products, you might like this glistening duochrome sheer lip color.
