Today, I’ll be reviewing the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick from the range crème in the shade Chocolate Velvet 302. This is my dear darling lipstick and I carry it with me always. It has been a great savior as it compliments my face so well, all the time, and is very much a wearable color for all occasions, be it office or outings.

Product Description by Revlon:
Infused with mega-moisturizers to seal in color and softness. Find your lip color amongst a dazzling array of 72 fabulous, fashionable shades!

Packaging:

The outer case is the black plastic case with a see-through cap. Guess this is to identify the color of the lipstick when placed in a stack, though I was never able to do that. The packaging is decent.

Color:

Its a brown shade with a maroon tint with no shimmers.

Texture:

The lipstick is quite creamy and glides on smoothly when applied on the lips.

Staying Power:

Two hours with food after which touchup is required; however, it stays on for a decent 3-4 hours otherwise.

My Take on Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick – Chocolate Velvet 302:

It’s a beautiful brown shade with maroon undertones if I describe it in the right way.  I just need to swipe it twice and ta-da I am done for the day.  It glides on smoothly over the lips like a dream, thanks to the creamy texture of the lipstick.  The creamy texture makes it perfect for day wear and is not over the top.  A slight touch of transparent gloss over this lipstick and it makes it perfect for the evenings too.

It does not settle between the lines and is very light on the lips too. It stays for a decent 3-4 hours without food and around 2 hours with food and drinks, after which a single swipe touch-up is required and you are done. The colour is a neutral one for all occasions and I always carry it with me all the time and it’s a must-have thing in my bag.

Pros of Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick – Chocolate Velvet 302:

• Beautiful brown with maroon undertones.
• Does not dry lips or settles in lines.
• Nice creamy texture, thus easy to apply even without a brush.
• Easy to apply.
• Packaging is sturdy.
• Quite pigmented and covers pigmented lips.

Cons of Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick – Chocolate Velvet 302:

• Low staying power, but that’s fine with me.
• Little pricey.

Would I Repurchase Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick – Chocolate Velvet 302?

Yes, this is a must for me.
