I am not a lip-gloss fan but wanted to start with a clear lip-gloss that can be worn to office sometimes above my dry matte lipsticks and add some perk :). I didn’t want any colour but a clear glossy shine, one that won’t alter the colour of the lipstick underneath. So when my friend asked me to pick up one super lustrous gloss from her collection as a gift last year, I picked this and was impressed as it was shiny, transparent but not glittery. Packaging:

The Gloss comes in a no nonsense packaging, plastic tube, black coloured cap and golden rim with “revlon” written on it. It has a good sponge tip applicator (the tip used to be transparent but has picked up my lipstick colours with time, so looks a little weird now).

My take on Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss Shine City:

Shine City is a clear, transparent lip gloss. It has a subtle pink colour on tube that goes colourless on lips. It has a mild fruity smell. It has a lot of glitters but they are not chunky or gritty. They go on to give a very smooth shine to the lips. The applicator picks up small amount of the product that is enough for a single application, too much of it will make it gooey. The texture is smooth and non-sticky. It is perfect for me to wear to office sometimes over dry matte lipsticks. I wanted a clear gloss and this one is almost clear.

Pros of Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss Shine City:

• It is non sticky and smooth if too much is not applied.
• Almost colourless, Would not alter the lipstick colour underneath.
• High shine with subtle shimmer.
• Gives a luxurious feel.
• Keeps the lips moist and supple.
• SPF-15 it says…always a plus.
• Nice packaging.
• Easily available.

Cons of Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss Shine City:

• Does not last long, 2-3 hours max.
• Not pigmented(those who like their glosses pigmented might give this a miss).
• The wand picks up the lippy colour and changes the gloss colour over time(it still remains almost clear though).
• Might be pricey for some.

Overall a good gloss if you want to give your lips a new look and bored of dry mattes like me. This gloss does its job well. I would have repurchased but this will take a long time to finish.
