I am reviewing two shades from the Revlon super lustrous lip gloss range. Some other shades have already been reviewed here earlier, which you can check out here.
Left- pink afterglow; Right- lilac cream.
Cost and Quantity:
Rs. 430 and 5.9 ml.
Lilac cream is a plain light mauve shade and can be easily worn during the day. It’s quite opaque.
Pink Afterglow, on the other hand, is bright pink with loads of glitter and is suitable only for night-time parties. It’s very sheer, but the color is buildable.
The glosses are thick and sticky and staying power is around 2.5-3 hours without eating or drinking.
I have noticed that when the gloss wears off, it leaves my lips quite dry; especially the Pink Afterglow and the glitter in the gloss is a bit chunky.
Top – Lilac Cream, Bottom – Pink Afterglow.
I am not very fond of these glosses because of the above-mentioned flaws. The packaging is good. The plastic tube is transparent and sturdy and it’s easy to tell how much product is left. It comes with a doe-foot applicator, which is quite easy to use and nonmessy. The gloss is not completely fragrance free, it has a weird smell, but it goes off quickly after application.
• Beautiful shades.
• Sleek and sturdy packaging.
• Non-messy application.
• Easily available at most of the Revlon counters.
• Quite thick and sticky.
• Dries out the lips.
• Doesn’t last much.
• Too glittery (Pink Afterglow).
• Weird smell.
The glosses are okay, nothing special to write about, not worth spending Rs. 400+.
