Hey there! I’m so excited to be home!! I’ve got holidays for a week, and completely having the time of my life in my favourite city. Already made plans for shopping with friends.!!
Anyways, today I bring to you the review of a lipstick that I got for my mum. My mum hates dark shades, and so I always try to gift her light pink, or brown shades that she likes. I saw this one online and thought this seemed like a nice light brown shade. I love this range already, and mum likes it too, so I just went for it.

My take on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sandalwood Beige:

This is from the Revlon Super Lustrous range, from which I have “Kiss Me Coral” which I love a lot, and I wanted to try out more shades from this range. I have always liked Revlon’s simple packaging, with the golden band in the middle, and the transparent top, so you can see the color. It’s pretty useful when buying from drugstores which don’t have testers.
Coming to the texture, it is a crème finish lipstick. I love the texture, it is creamy enough to not be drying but not so creamy that it will get wiped off very quickly. It doesn’t settle in fine lines, or accentuate them, even after wearing for a long time.

It’s wearing time was good too, my mum wore it for more than 3 hours before a meal, and it stayed easily. It did not survive the meal of course, and it transfers a lot, but then again, it’s creamy. It applies evenly from the bullet, and doesn’t bleed or anything.
As for the shade, it’s an earthy, peachy, orangey, brown shade, with a hint of beige somewhere. It’s not really nude as such, but on some skin tones, it may be. I think this is an excellent peachy brown shade for fairer skin tones, but it kind of washed me out.

Lip swatches are courtesy mum, because it looks better on her. Also, please note that the shade looks lighter in the photos than it really is.

Pros of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sandalwood Beige:

• The texture is creamy and smooth to apply
• Doesn’t settle in or accentuate fine lines
• Staying power is good for a creamy lipstick
• The shade is a pretty peachy brown shade
• Packaging is nice and useful

Cons of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sandalwood Beige:

• The shade is not suitable for all skin tones
• This shade is not available in India

I love Revlon products in general, and the Super Lustrous range in particular, and this shade has worked very well. The best thing is my mum loves it and wears it wherever she goes!
I will keep repurchasing from this range and maybe even this shade.
