Revlon Touch and Glow Advanced Fairness Daily Moisturizing Cream

All the girls with oily and acne-prone skin would agree with me as to how difficult it is to find a perfect moisturizing cream in winters for problematic skin. We wouldn’t want to “feed” our skin with extra moisture, but winters are a time when even oily skin feels dry.  I use Clean and Clear Moisturizing Cream throughout the year, but during winters, it doesn’t provide adequate moisturization.  I have had a good experience using Revlon Touch and Glow Advanced Fairness Cream and I must say its a good budget day cream for oily skin.  It keeps the skin matte without over drying.  I found out that Revlon Touch and Glow has a moisturizing cream also and decided to check it out.  Even though the cream isn’t specially formulated for oily skin, I thought it was worth a try.  Here’s my review:

Product Description:

Contains botanical extracts (bearberry extract, Lotus extract, and Licorice Extract), which help to reduce formation of black pigments and defuse aggravated black spots.  Infused with SPF 15 that blocks harmful UV rays from penetrating deep into the skin thereby preventing further skin darkening.  Contains vitamin A, Vitamin E, Provitamin B5 and Fuco Gel that deeply moisturizes the skin , leaving it soft and velvety smooth.

Moisturizing Cream 1

My Experience with Revlon Touch and Glow Advanced Fairness Daily Moisturizing Cream:

Its a bit thicker than the Revlon Touch and Glow Fairness Cream and smells strongly of shaving foam.  It does not hydrate the skin, rather it moisturizes skin well and clears out dry patches.  I wear this moisturizer especially under foundation, though I wouldn’t advice those with acne-prone skin to wear it for longer duration under the foundation, it might break out the skin.

Moisturizing Cream 2

If you are planning to wear the moisturizer and foundation for the whole day, look for other non-comedogenic alternatives.  I never dare to wear anything for longer than 3 or 4 hours.  I would say that its a good moisturizer for winters.  It does not work that well for dry skin.  It does not visibly make the skin fairer, does not reduce dark spots, does not give a glowing complexion.  Its a “plain” moisturizer, just that.

Moisturizing Cream 3

Pros of Revlon Touch and Glow Advanced Fairness Daily Moisturizing Cream:

  • A budget moisturizing option for oily skin.
  • Can be worn under foundation.
  • Comes at a good price.

Cons of Revlon Touch and Glow Advanced Fairness Daily Moisturizing Cream:

  • Not enough moisturizing for dry skin.
  • May break out skin if its worn for a longer duration.
  • Smells strongly of shaving foam.
  • Does not make skin visibly fair, does not reduce dark spots, and does not lead to glowing complexion, these are false claims.
  • Claims to have SPF 15, I am not sure.

IMBB Rating:

3/5.
