My Experience with Revolution Nudes Collection Metallic Gloss Pixelated:
The product comes in a transparent, plastic tube with a pale white cap. The color name is mentioned on a label attached at the base. The tube is looks pretty and cute. You can easily carry it in your purse.
It has a doe-foot applicator that brings out enough product in one go and spreads evenly on the lips. You can use it to feel and line the lips perfectly without any problem. The product smells of coconut candies. Each time you apply it on the lips; you get the sweet smell which is not long lasting at all. I enjoy this fragrance a lot.
The color is described as “chestnut metallic” in the website. I think it is a beautiful metallic soft red, although at times, I feel there is a hint of pink in it. The shimmer does not look cheap at all. It is beautifully mixed in the color and looks gorgeous on the lips. I think it will look great on all skin tones. This is a good n*de shade for dusky or deep skin tones. It will look brighter on medium and fair skin tones, but anyone can carry this shade beautifully. The pigmentation is insanely good. Considering it is shimmery and very cheap, I was not expecting this great pigmentation. My lower lip is not pigmented and one swipe of this lip color is enough to cover it. My heavily pigmented upper lip needs two coats and voila, that’s it!
Texture: I am very impressed with the texture. The shimmer does not make any difference to the glossiness of this product. It spreads like butter on the lips. It is very soft and has a light, mousse-like texture. It dries down super fast and feels very comfortable on the lips. If you layer it on top of other lipsticks or even apply 2-3 coats of it, it does not become flaky or patchy or dry. It does not make the lips dry, even after you remove it.
Staying Power: The staying power of this lipstick is great. It stays on for 6-7 hours with minimal fading from the corners. It survives tea, water and light snacks, but it does fade away with a heavy meal. The good thing is that it does not leave back any patchy stain or shimmer. If you go for lunch wearing this, it is a good idea to remove the residue with a tissue and reapply it. You can remove it with any cleansing oil also.
Overall, I am super satisfied with the product. I would love to try other shades from this brand super soon! I use it on its own and also over other lipsticks to get newer colors!
