The flabby bits on the sides of your abs are called love handles. More than love they indicate too much body fat. Start losing some body fat if you want to get rid of love handles.
Apart from the exercises some basic tips should be kept in mind while losing body fat. These include:
•Never skip breakfast: After the whole night starvation our body needs energy in the morning, so whatever we eat will be burned down and stored in the form of fat by or body.
•Eat in moderation: Do not deprive yourselves from the pleasure of eating food but instead try to eat in moderation. Eat small meals six times a day this helps to control blood sugar and thus makes loosing weight easier. Do not eat too little as it would have a negative impact on your body. Nutritional requirements of a body must always be fulfilled.
•Avoid late night eating: Never eat food right before going to bed or after a long period of inactivity as doing so generate our body’s mechanism for storing fat.
•Drink water: Always drink a glass of water before your meals as it will help to fill the stomach and enable you to reach higher level of satisfaction with relatively less food.
•Avoid fatty food: This goes without saying. Pastries, ice creams, rice, curd, milk products like cheese, etc should be avoided. Cut down on red meat and deep fried meals.
Exercises to get rid of love handles:
•Stand with your feet apart (at shoulder width) and your knees slightly bent.
•Place your hands in front of as if you’re about to push something away.
•Twist your torso to the left, while keeping your hips and legs as stable as possible. Now twist all the way around to the right.
•Try to do 100 reps of this exercise.
Lying Leg Twist
•Lie on your back, with your arms stretched out to your sides.
•Bend your knees at the 90 degree angle and raise your legs up.
•Lower your legs to the left side, so that your left, outer thigh touches the ground.
•Now bring your legs up and lower them down to the right. Do 3 sets of 10 reps per side.
•Lie on your back with your knees bent.
•Lift your head up slightly and place your hands behind without locking your fingers together.
•Twist to the right bringing your left elbow to your right knee. Extend your left leg out. Do the same while twisting at the right side.
•Stand up with your feet shoulder width apart. Fold arms and hold the dumbbells close to your body.
•Flex your hips and legs to make sure your legs remain still while bending sideways.
•Bend to the left from the waist only and extend your right hand to the left. Return to the start position and bring the arm back to the body.
•Bend to the right in the same way and extend your left hand to the right.
Get a Hula-Hoop and Hula Hoop for at least 30 minutes daily to get rid of love handles.
