There have been quite a few reviews for Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definers in different shades on IMBB and I am adding one more here. I wanted an eyeliner/eye definer that would open up my eyes and brighten them up. These are most needed when we create smokey eye look. I wanted a beige colored eye liner, since I was not sure if white colored one would look good on me so I got this one called Rimmel London 213 In the Nude Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer.
Glide-on full color definition! Soft creamy texture in a retractable pencil with built-in smudger for subtle blending and sharpener for high precision line Waterproof formula for up to 10 hours long lasting wear Choose your shade from creamy matte to high metallic, all so intensely pigmented Dermatologist & ophthalmologist tested.
I don’t remember exactly, but I guess I got it for somewhere around $5.
My Experience with Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer Nude:
Packaging: The eye definer comes in a retractable pencil form. The color of the pencil is similar to the color of the liner. The pencil has plastic body and has two ends, on one end is the twist up liner. On the other end, the sponge smudger which opens up to the sharpener. Both the ends are secured with a cap. Though, the eye definer is retractable, but my pencil doesn’t retracts. 🙁 And, the pencil stopped retracting first time I used it. 🙁 All other minute details are mentioned on the pencil body along with the shade name, number, brand details and other details.
Texture: The texture of the eye definer is very-very smooth and creamy. It goes on smoothly and doesn’t tugs at all. It can be easily smudged. Though, there are many shades available in this range, but since I wanted one for so that it makes my eyes look big and open and brightens them up, and hence chose this shade.
The tip of the liner is fine and you can get thin lines with it easily. Also, sharpener can be used to get a finer tip when it gets blunt. It feels soft along the lash line too and doesn’t tugs at all.
Staying Power: It did brighten up my eyes, but it doesn’t stay on my water line for more than half an hour. 🙁 Also, it made my eyes itch every time I applied this. I have never experienced this with any product that I have used till date. 🙁
So, after just a couple of applications, I don’t apply it any more. 🙁 Also, since it never stayed for long, I really couldn’t test if it is waterproof or not. The swatch on my arm washed off easily with water, but then we don’t apply the same kind of pressure on our eyes.
Also, this is kind of shade which could be worn on waterline but I definitely cannot wear it as an eyeliner.
