I am currently in a very positive phase – loads of work, family time and all good things. I pray things stay this way 🙂 I shopped for loads of makeup recently and I will be reviewing them one by one. Today’s review will be about Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in #250 Emerald Sparkle. There are a few other colors in the waterproof eye definer range which have been previously reviewed on IMBB (Rich Brown, Deep Ocean). This beautiful shade was not reviewed yet and I am doing the honors!
A creamy texture in a retractable pencil with built-in smudger for subtle blending and sharpener for high precision line. Waterproof formula for up to 10 hours long lasting wear. Choose your shade from creamy matte to high metallic, all so intensely pigmented. Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.
My Experience with Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer Emerald Sparkle:
Packaging: It has a plastic body pencil with two ends. The good thing is that the body is color coded, so you don’t have to search for it in your stash. On one end is the emerald colored twist up liner and on the other is a smudge tip.
Both ends are securely closed with a transparent cap which snugly fits but do not click shut on the smudger end. The smudger tip has a black plastic base which opens up to a sharpener. On the body, all other minute details are mentioned along-with the shade name and brand name.
Before anything else, let me tell you how much I love this color. Colors like turquoise, emerald and teal are my absolute favorites. This is a beautiful emerald green color with a slight blue tinge. More of a sea green shade with shimmers, justifies the name “Emerald Sparkle.”
It is quite a creamy pencil in a twist-up form. It glides on easily without tugging the lid. The pigmentation is okay, you definitely need to apply a couple of swipes at least to show up the color. But since the pencil doesn’t tug or hurt eyes, you can go over an area multiple times.
As Rashmita di had mentioned in her earlier reviews of liners from this range, the formula is interesting. You can smudge immediately after application, but after it sets, it does not move a bit. It is definitely completely waterproof; splash as much water you want. It won’t budge. You need a proper makeup remover to get rid of this.
It is definitely long staying. I have kept it on my eyes for as long as 15 hours. Yes, from morning 8 am to almost 11 pm, this stayed put. Meanwhile, I had washed my face, rubbed my eyes and yet this didn’t move. I needed an oil-based makeup remover to remove traces of it.
It doesn’t irritate sensitive eyes and I have used it on waterline without any issues, it’s certainly one of the best in my stash.
