Today’s review is about one more shade from the Rimmel London Moisture Renew range – this is the shade “Hot Lips.” Read on to find out more about the shade.

My Experience with Rimmel London Hot Lips Moisture Renew Lipstick:

Packaging:  This lipstick comes in a silver colored bullet with a bright violet semi-transparent cap. The cap has the Rimmel logo engraved on it. The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker on the bottom.

The cap shuts tight and you can easily travel with the lipstick in your bag.

Shade/Pigmentation:  “Hot Lips” is a gorgeous red shade with slight brown undertones. It appears red on hand swatches, but the brown tint shows up on my lips making it a more brick red and this brown tint helps in toning down the brightness making it a very wearable shade. I feel this kind of shade will look good on Indian skin tones.
The lipstick is strongly pigmented and covers the lips in a single swipe. I noticed slight clumping when layered and hence would not recommend layering.

Texture/Finish/Lasting Power:  The lipstick is very creamy and glides quite smoothly on the lips. It feels moisturizing and does not dry out the lips at all. The downside of the lipstick being so creamy is that it smears easily and a lip liner will solve some of the problems.

Also, it will not hold up too well in hot geographies and will need to be stored in refrigerator.  The lipstick has a lovely glossy finish.

The lipstick transfers a lot and the staying power is quite poor. It lasts for a maximum of around 3-4 hours and disappears after a meal.

Pros of Rimmel London Hot Lips Moisture Renew Lipstick:

• Gorgeous red shade.
•  Glides smoothly on the lips.
• Decently pigmented.
• Does not feel drying on the lips.
• Lovely glossy finish.

Cons of Rimmel London Hot Lips Moisture Renew Lipstick:

• Poor staying power.
• Transfers and smears.
• Clumping is noticed if layered.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Rimmel London Hot Lips Moisture Renew Lipstick?
Though I loved the shade, I would not recommend the lipstick as the staying power is quite low. I will not repurchase.
