I am back with one more Rimmel lipstick – Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in Shade 08. I had never tried Rimmel lipsticks until recently and when I picked up the first one a while ago, I knew I will not limit myself to one 😛 So, here is my second review. Read on to find out more.

My Experience with Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in Shade 08:

Packaging:  This lipstick comes in a sleek black matte finish packaging. The cap has the Rimmel logo engraved on top and a print of Kate Moss’s signature. The packaging looks quite classy and is sturdy as well. The cap shuts tight and you can easily travel with it in your bag. Since the packaging is completely opaque, you need to look at the bottom of the lipstick to find out which shade it is.

Shade:  Shade 08 is a light pink shade almost bordering on the n*de. It is a lovely shade and I am so glad that it does not wash me out. However, this shade might not suit dusky skinned beauties.

Texture, Finish, Pigmentation:  The lipstick glides effortlessly on the lips. It feels crème when you apply it, but it settles down to a semi-matte finish with a nice sheen.  I would not call the lipstick hydrating, but it does not dry out your lips either. You do not need to apply any lip balm underneath.  I have pigmented lips and hence prefer swiping the lipstick twice to give me complete coverage. Happy to note that layering does not make the application patchy or cakey. However, those of you who do not have pigmented lips could also do with a single swipe.

This is not a transfer-proof lipstick and transfers easily on cups and glasses. The product claims to stay put for 8 hours. Unfortunately, the lipstick disappeared on me within 3 hours. Since, this is a light shade, it does not leave any tint behind. Personally, I am fine to reapply my lipsticks whenever the need arises.

To summarize, this is a beautiful everyday wear lipstick with a decent formula. If you do not mind the low staying power, you can definitely try this shade.

• This shade might not suit dusky skinned beauties.

Yes, it is so difficult to find light n*dish pink shades which do not wash you out and I will surely consider buying again.
