Finding the perfect nude lipstick is quite a big task and I am on a mission to find “THE RIGHT ONE“ for me. Today, I am going to review one such nude lipstick from Rimmel cosmetics. Read on to find out how it fared for me.

My Experience with Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick By Kate – Nude 48:
Rimmel London has launched a new nude lipstick range in their Kate Moss Lipstick collection. These are long lasting lipsticks and claim to last for 8 hours. There are 5 colors in this range 40,42,43,45 and 48 and I chose the shade 48 which is the darkest one among these. Rimmel has launched a nude for almost all the skin tones in this line. I think the shades 43, 45 and 48 will be perfect for Indian skin tones; there are pink nudes, peachy nudes, brown nudes in this collection.
The packaging of this lipstick is similar to other Kate Moss lipsticks, but they come in a nude peachy color plastic tube with Kate written in white, unlike the other Kate Moss lipsticks which come in black, red and rose gold tubes. I don’t really like the packaging. It is just a normal casing and there is nothing that appeals me. The only way we can distinguish the color is that there is a color coded sticker at the bottom with the shade number.
This lipstick is a deep brown burgundy nude color. It will be the perfect nude for medium to dusky skin tones, and a beautiful brown for fair skinned ladies. This lipstick formula is not matte but, they are creamy and moisturising. It has a light sheen, but nothing glittery. The lipstick is very easy to apply and is very comfortable on the lips. The pigmentation and the color are not as deep as seen in the tube; when applied, it is very sheer. It transfers a bit and wears off in 4 hours, thus it is really not a long lasting lipstick as Rimmel claims. These can be reapplied easily without any cakey appearance on the lips.
I think, there are more nudes for fair skinned ladies, and one nude for deep skinned ladies, but there is no perfect color for mid toned beauties in this collection. I can use this shade along with other lipsticks to make it work for my skin tone. I think I have a love-hate relationship with these lipsticks. They are really hydrating and creamy, but I still find something lacking in them. They are more like a tinted lip balm and I am not satisfied with the intensity it gives.
