Rimmel London Natural Bronzer – 025 Sun Glow Review

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer – 025 Sun Glow Review

Hi Everyone,

Today, I am going to review my favorite bronzer from Rimmel in the shade 025 Sun Glow.  This comes in the usual round disc-like case with a simple glass lid that makes it easy to see the product.

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer 025 Sun Glow Review

Price:

6 Euros for 14 gm.

Product Description:

For a healthy tanned look whatever the weather. This light, natural looking bronzing powder combines colour and protection with SPF8. Hello Sunshine!

There are 3 shades available in this range – Sun Glow, Sun Bronze, and Sun Light.

Bronzer

Shade:

I have 025 – Sun Glow which is the darkest of the 3 and a tad orangey in color. It’s a completely matte bronzer, which is what I wanted. This color would look very good on medium skin tones and would be a barely-there shade for darker skins. I love the matte effect of the bronzer and it adds a nice warm glow to my face when I use it. It does not look obvious that I have applied a bronzer, but just adds a nice healthy flush to my cheeks. The color is very subtle and can be built up if you want strong contouring.

Swatches:

Bronzer 2

Bronzer 3

Texture:

This is a very finely milled powder with no fallout.  Its very smooth and easy to apply and can be blended very easily. Once blended with a light hand, you will barely notice the difference, but it somehow makes my face look flushed and healthy.

Staying Power:

The staying power is not very decent. It stays for about 3-4 hours without a primer. I generally don’t use face primers so not sure if it would last longer with a primer. However, when it fades it fades completely without a trace.

Pros of Rimmel London Natural Bronzer – 025 Sun Glow:

  • Lovely subtle shade that adds a nice warm flush to the face.
  • Good for light contouring and can be built up for stronger contouring.
  • No shimmer at all, which I love.
  • I love the “orangishness” of the bronzer because brownish bronzers tend to look muddy on my face and make me look very dark.
  • Never broken me out and I use this pretty regularly in winters.
  • Love the sun-like detailing on the bronzer!
  • Easy to apply evenly and blend.
  • Does not make my pores look larger and does not settle into the fine lines.
  • This is a mineral bronzer, so suits my problematic skin well.
  • Very cheap for the quality and quantity that you get.
  • It has SPF 8, very low SPF but still it has some sun protection.

Cons of Rimmel London Natural Bronzer – 025 Sun Glow:

  • The pigmentation could have been better. Since I like my bronzer to show up, I have to apply quite a few layers of it and build up the color.
  • The staying power is not great, but do try it with a primer to see if it’s better.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.

Do I Recommend Rimmel London Natural Bronzer – 025 Sun Glow?

Yes, I would recommend this bronzer despite the staying power because it’s a light mineral bronzer that is very good for everyday use, especially for problematic skin. I love how it adds a healthy flush to my face.

  1. isnt that quite orange aarbee.. i mean it could just be the pics but i personally like the neutral toned bronzers.. but rimmel is such a great drugstore brand. wish it was avail in india as well.

    1. Yes, I like it as a brand too…I wish all the US drugstore brands start selling in India at the same price 😛
You are right…the bronzer is sort of orangey, but Rati on my complexion somehow neutral bronzers don’t show up very nicely, they look muddy…only the orange ones work well for me…If you can name some nice neutral bronzers avlbl in India I would love your advice 🙂
