Rimmel London Pink Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer Review

Greetings fellow makeup geeks!!

Yes I am a makeup buff and I am proud about it. I have had my fair share of mockery and derision because of my penchant towards makeup (people in our society still look down on girls who wear makeup because they think such girls doll up to woo innocent men 😀 ), but all this does not stop me from hoarding more makeup and flaunting it. Oh yes sir, I am a makeup geek and I know it!!! Here comes a review of yet another eye liner from my makeup kitty. This time I chose a very pretty, rosy hue to review.

My Experience with Rimmel London Pink Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer:

I was looking high and low for a nice pink shade to add in my ever growing stash of eye liners, but was disappointed with the lack of options and shades to choose from, when I had this chance encounter with Rimmel eye definer in pink.

Most of the so called shades of pink in market are more of purple rather than pink, which I find off putting because purple so does not go with my sunken eye sockets. I almost gave up and decided to use a pink lip liner as an eye liner, when I stumbled upon this shade available by Rimmel and I bought it right away.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this product, I encourage others to read my experience, but I still leave to the buyers’ discretion weather to buy one or not.

Unlike other shades in the same range, this shade tugs a little and is not creamy enough to get a nice, intense color in a sweep or two. One has to go over an area multiple times to achieve desired intensity. Take away of the story- it is not very pigmented.

The product does not stay so well on the lid and let alone on the water line. But, like old adage goes, ‘a good eye primer can make any liner last a long time’, I guess one can do wonders with right primer and setting power.

All said and done I would still emphasize that this shade is really beautiful for all types of skin tones and will stand out on who so ever wears it. But, rather than foraging for this shade in eye liner department one should just use a pink lip liner and be done with it.

Pros of Rimmel London Pink Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer:

  • Nice twist up packaging.
  • Very pretty rosy pink shade.
  • Smudger and sharpener provided, which fortunately does their job.
  • Easily available online or in stores.
  • Travel friendly.

Cons of Rimmel London Pink Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer:

  • Very less quantity for money paid.
  • Not very creamy.
  • Requires multiple sweeps.
  • Okay, not commendable staying power.

Would I repurchase Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer Pink?

Nope, I would rather use a pink lip liner for the purpose, but like I said earlier I leave it on the user’s discretion.

  1. Sad but yes our society does think so as you quoted “to woo innocent men”.
i was really wondering how would a pink liner look on the waterline or as an eyeliner. though, i am okay using pink as an eye shadow.

  2. Hey… I almost forgot about an eye liner i hav from this range… Thnx for reminding me… The color is cute… But hav never gone in for a pink eyeliner…

  3. hahah I agree, if you are not married then oh” why wear makeup” phew! I wear makeup causally and at home too if I like. No one can and should bother, infact people ask for tips all the time 😛
