Continuing with my reviews of lipsticks from the Rimmel London’s “Moisture Renew” range, today I bring to you another gorgeous red shade – “Red Alert.” Read on to find out more about the shade.

My Experience with Rimmel London Red Alert Moisture Renew Lipstick:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a silver-colored bullet with a bright violet semi-transparent cap. The cap has the Rimmel logo engraved on it. The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker on the bottom.
The cap shuts tight and you can easily travel with the lipstick in your bag.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Red Alert” is a true bold fire engine red shade. It is really eye-catching and anyone looking for a bold bright red should give this one a try. Of course, it is not a shade which everyone will be comfortable wearing, but if reds are your thing, you should own this.
The lipstick is strongly pigmented and covers the lips in a single swipe. I noticed slight clumping when layered and hence would not recommend layering.
Texture, Finish, Lasting Power: The lipstick is quite creamy and applies very smoothly on the lips. It feels moisturizing and does not dry out the lips at all. However, since the lipstick is so creamy, it smears pretty easily and I would totally recommend using a lip liner. Another option is to blot it out a bit and wear as a stain. Also, the lipstick will easily melt off in hot weather and will need to be stored in a refrigerator.
The lipstick has a beautiful glossy finish. It transfers a lot and the staying power is quite poor. It lasts for a maximum of around 3-4 hours and disappears after a meal.
Pros of Rimmel London Red Alert Moisture Renew Lipstick:

- Does not feel drying on the lips.

Cons of Rimmel London Red Alert Moisture Renew Lipstick:
- Poor staying power.
- Transfers and smears.
- Not everyone will be comfortable with the bold shade.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Rimmel London Red Alert Moisture Renew Lipstick?
I would not recommend the lipstick as the staying power is quite low. I will not repurchase this lipstick.
