Rimmel London U Rock! Eyeshadow 400 Black n Blue Review

Rimmel London U Rock! Eyeshadow 400 Black n Blue

rimmel london u rock eyeshadow
I bought this one for what it looks like and not really for any use. In the first place I did not know it’s a cream shadow and my oily lids are not a fan of cream eyeshadows at all, unless they set well. As base too, they should be thick to be functional, and not sheer as when you blend them they are all sheer and don’t serve the purpose of a base.

I bought this one from a local shop in Manchester, united kingdom and I forgot the cost but it is very well under 3 pounds and was on some kind of offer and it was too pretty to lose so I bought. The swirl of color in it- and that too my favourite teal color which I love- for the eyes was too hard to resist and considering I had to get lot of Rimmel while in UK I got it for trial purpose.

For me, my experience with Rimmel has been a mixed one, with almost mixed reactions for all its stuff. I’m sure they are improving and coming up with better formulations, but this one, was correctly placed on a discount in the shop!

Rimmel U Rock! Eyeshadow Black n Blue as a Cream Eyeshadow

This shadow is a cream one with a swirl of three colors in it, teal, white and blue. This reminds me of the cream shadow quads maybelline retailed at 200 rupees 5 years back; they were so glittery and shimmery and so sheer when put on. These ones by rimmel are very sheer and very glittery and shimmery too. These have three colors and nice light blue when swiped all across. These look very pretty in the pan but go on so sheer and so colorless when blended. All that is left after blending is glitter! When I try to pat them on and layer these up, these crease a hell lot! I don’t think it even lasted for an hour on me and I don’t wanna use a base under it as I plan to use this itself as a base! The colors are so pretty but it’s a pity they crease and don’t set at all!

Rimmel U Rock! Eyeshadow Black n Blue as an Eyeshadow Base

As an eye shadow base too, these fare just average, as I need to really put it on in a thick layer and not blend it but just dab it on. And then I need to seal it up with some teal, blue, dark blue or which ever color I wish to use on top. As a base, it lasted some three hours on my oily lids, nothing impressive.

These are quite glittery and sheer and not even ideal for highlight under the brow bone.such pretty colors, and just a simple use, as an average base.

Why Should you NOT Get Rimmel U Rock! Eyeshadow

These cream eyeshadow are nothing but blue glitter and shimmer
These don’t set
These crease like crazy
As a base, these work just average
These can be messy

All in all, I fell for the flash in this case and the pretty pan of pretty blues. These are just usable as base, which I don’t go for often. With all three different colors mixing into each other, I found it a little messy too. These were on some discount and as cream eye shadow, I would rate them 2 on 5!

Do I recommend?
No! even if you find it one some discount shop, you are better off without these. Get a better eyeshadow base for the money!or I am sure rimmel has better products for you to try
