Hi lovelies! I’m back with another review to share.
I am not much into lip glosses but after having a nice experience with Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Glosses, I am now more open to try other shades and even other brands. Only recently, I purchased to try this supposedly sweet tasting lip gloss from Rimmel called Royal Gloss.

My experience with Rimmel London Royal Gloss in 061 Pink Taffy:
Rimmel London Royal Glosses are packaged in an easy squeeze transparent tube. I love how I can clearly see the gloss from the outside. Each tube has 14ml of product in it. It has plastic twist cap and the tube itself has slanted tip where the opening is. The packaging is similar to Maybelline Fruity Jelly which is a more popular brand, only Rimmel is more appealing and bigger as well. I’ve got one problem with the packaging. Lipgloss starts to ooze out as soon as I open the tube. I hope I won’t experience that after few more uses.
Lipsticks and even glosses come in hundreds of shades with variety of undertones. And that precisely makes lipstick one exciting makeup product to explore on. You have the neutral and basic nudes and browns, to classy and to vampy reds, to girly pinks and peaches. One lip color shade that interests me a lot is salmon pink. Isn’t it a nice shade to wear during the summer? Royal Gloss in Pink Taffy appears peachy when I am indoors and light pink with yellow undertone to me under bright light. It appears salmon pink to me. It has white fine shimmers you wouldn’t be able to notice unless you look closely on a mirror.
Rimmel Royal Gloss in Pink Taffy smells like sweet candy and actually tastes like one! High five on that!
As for the opacity of this gloss, I’d say it is sheer to medium. It would impart light pink color to lips but the natural color of the lips would peek through. I have unevenly pigmented lips so sheer to medium glosses like this is not something I’ll wear alone. I wear it on top of my lipsticks.
It is lightweight on lips but of course, lipsticks are lighter. It is not sticky in a sense that you can press your lips together and would not feel uneasy stickiness. But when your hair would touch your lips, hair strands would definitely stick to it a bit. I am glad that this gloss does not dry my lips out.
The color and shine stays on my lips for an hour or two and both won’t survive a meal.
Rimmel London Royal Gloss in 061 Pink Taffy – What I Like:
-Sweet scent and taste.
-High shine and micro shimmers.
-It does not dry my lips.
-It is affordable for around $7.
Rimmel London Royal Gloss in 061 Pink Taffy – What I don’t like:
It’s nice to try sweet tasting glosses like this Rimmel London Royal Gloss. I just wish they are more pigmented and longer lasting too. I have enjoyed using this on top of my pink lippies as it somehow change the color a bit. I don’t think I’ll repurchase this as I like Colorsensational High Shine Lip Glosses, 10 times for its lasting power and pigmentation.
Always wear beauty!
