Rimmel London The Only One Lipstick – Call Me Crazy Review

Hello all,

I have always loved Rimmel London lipsticks. So, when I saw this new range from the brand that launched in the US around a month ago, my curiosity was piqued and I decided to try a few shades from this range. Today, I am reviewing the shade “Call Me Crazy.” Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Rimmel London The Only One Lipstick – Call Me Crazy:

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a black plastic case with a slightly pointy architectural design. The cap has the Rimmel logo engraved on it and there is a colored band near the base which matches the actual shade of the product.
Packaging

The cap shuts tight with no chances of opening accidentally. There is a sticker on the bottom with the name of the lipstick. A case of simple, elegant and effective packaging.

Shade/Pigmentation:  “Call me Crazy” is a bright orange shade. It might seem crazy to some but I find it absolutely gorgeous and a shade which totally screams summer!
Coral lipstick

The pigmentation of this lipstick is superb. One swipe is all you need to get a full blown opaque color on your lips. I would not recommend layering as there is some clumping observed if you layer it.

Texture/Finish/Staying Power:  I have to say that the first thing that hits you about this lipstick is its scent – an overpowering fruity scent (I think it is a mix of melon and papaya). I am usually not the one to fuss about fragrances in my cosmetics, but this is one scent which I find so off-putting. The lipstick would have been so much better without this scent. The slightly good part is that the fragrance is not long lasting and fades away in 30 minutes or so.
Orange lipstick

The texture of the lipstick is quite soft and creamy. It glides on the lips with a smooth consistency with no tugging at all. I would say this is a pretty forgiving lipstick as it works quite well on dry lips as well. The downside of such a formula is that it might be a bit too soft and is likely to melt off in Indian summers.  The finish is a lovely crème with just the right amount of shine.

The lipstick is very comfortable to wear. It does not dry out the lips and feels quite moisturizing.

Since this is a creamy lipstick, the staying power is not too long. It does transfer and on me, it lasts for about 4-5 hours depending upon what I am eating.
