I like to use one makeup product for multiple purposes that way I get variety in my vanity case and also get to save some money. I don’t wear eye shadows that often but I do wear eye liner on a daily basis so I usually buy cream-based eye liner which can be used as eye shadow or eye shadow base as well.
I purchased Rimmel eye shadow stick for this very reason and below is my opinion about it.
High impact color precision tip applicator. Ultra soft formula glides on smoothly for a high-shine and luminous finish.
$4.49 for 3.25gm
What it claims:
• Rich, intense color applies in a flash.
• Jumbo applicator creates a dramatic look in just one stroke. Can use as an eye shadow or an eyeliner.
• Creamy formula blends effortlessly for a luminous finish
• Waterproof & Smudge-proof with 24HR wear.
• Dermatologist & ophthalmologist tested.
My take on Rimmel Scandaleyes Blamed Blue Eye Shadow Stick:
I love blue color eye shadow and liners but unfortunately most shades of blues don’t look nice on me simply because cool tones don’t go so well on warm skin tones. Usually when I do wear blue eye shadow, my eyes look so dull and blue that I might as well not wear it.
However, all this does not deter me from buying blue shades. I do have various shades of blue in brands like Faces, NYX, Maybelline and so on but they don’t stand out so obviously on my water line and from distance they appear as dull black. So I ventured forward and tried turquoise and peacock blue shades as they are lighter.
Of late there has been a rave about chubby eye shadow sticks, most common being NYX Jumbo sticks and even brands like Lakme have now come up with such genre of products but while the former one creases a lot, the latter one is way too expensive (wonder what is wrong with Lakme). Rimmel scandal eyes seemed reasonably priced so I decided to buy one.
The texture of the product is OMG!!! It is so buttery soft that it literally glides on my lids. One sweep of the product gives a very intense color and for more intense look two sweeps are more than enough. It stays put for good 7 to 8 hours and does not crease too much.I have used it on my water line and it did stay put for same amount of time as on lids, after which it began to fade. It is fairly smudge proof on oil free lids and unless one does not sweat profusely we won’t get blue raccoon eyes.
Another wow factor is the color which is brilliant, shimmery blue and looks really nice on Indian tone. Only glitch is that one has to sharpen it which leads to wastage of product but apart from that it is a very good buy and whenever I wear it I get compliments since my eye stand out so well.
Pros of Rimmel Scandaleyes Blamed Blue Eye Shadow Stick:
• Beautiful color and although it is a cool shade it looks nice on warm skin tone as well
• Good staying power
• Can be used both as eye liner and eye shadow
• Can be used as eye shadow base and smudged with powder eye shadow to get smokey look
• Very smooth and buttery
• Good pigmentation
• No fallout
• No tugging on lids
• 7 shades to choose from and all are so tempting
Cons of Rimmel Scandaleyes Blamed Blue Eye Shadow Stick:
• Has to be sharpened which leads to product wastage
• Most of the shades are out of stock on Indian sites.
Would I repurchase Rimmel Scandaleyes Blamed Blue Eye Shadow Stick?
