Rimmel ScandalEyes Eye Shadow Stick – Gossip Green Review

Rimmel ScandalEyes Eye Shadow Stick – Gossip Green Review

Hey girls!

I am back with another review today. This time it’s an eyeshadow stick from Rimmel. I love using colored eye liners that brightens up my eye in an instant. My favorite would be blue liners, but during my last visit to Ulta, I picked up these green eye shadow sticks from Rimmel. Read on more to know how it fared on me.

My Take on Rimmel ScandalEyes Eye Shadow Stick – Gossip Green:

I have oily lids, so I usually look for something that does not have a creamy formula and since I use these more for lining my eyes, just to get that pop of color rather than using it as an eye shadow, I prefer them to be smudge proof. So, I picked this up in two shades, Gossip Green and Bad Bronze (which is a beautiful color BTW and has already been reviewed here on IMBB).

Gossip Green is not a very deep or bright green, it fluctuates somewhere in between. They do not have any shimmer.  This is one such shade which would look great when worn with other colors rather than using it as a single eye liner. And according to me, it’s not something that would suit all complexions unlike the Bad girl bronze shade and this is definitely not my kinda green. I love deep emerald greens.

Apart from the color, I found everything else to be great. The formula is creamy and smudge proof. It is amazingly pigmented and has a smooth texture. Another good thing about this is that it’s waterproof too in spite of being a creamy creamy liner. I once wore it and went out while it suddenly started pouring. When I was back home, I was expecting my face to look like shrek but to my surprise, it had not smudged a bit or faded. It just stayed put there.

The only sad part about these shadow sticks are that they are not long lasting enough and also since they are pencils, there would be product wastage due to sharpening.

  1. Hey, just a headsup, but I definitely recommend using a primer with these – lasts much, much longer. Sometimes even just concealer underneath.

Imagine pairing this shade with a deep blue or purple. Yum! 🙂 Thanks for the review!

    1. Yup rohini, they would go very well when blended with other colors. This particular thing as a single shadow, doesn’t look great on me. Will sure try with a primer. Thanks for the heads up! 🙂
