I bought Rimmel Scandaleyes Retroglam Waterproof Mascara as part of my IMBB sponsored haul and once again, I thank them with lot of pleasure and glee. Ulta has an aisle for Rimmel and it is rife with so many kinds of mascara and most of them were for $5.99, they keep introducing the new kinds all the time and it was fun to explore them. My Take on Rimmel Scandaleyes Retroglam Waterproof Mascara:

I picked Rimmel Scandaleyes Retroglam Waterproof Mascara first because of the name ‘Retroglam’, with the hopes that it would gives me Audrey Hepburn like glamorous and dramatic eyes. It also claims to have won ‘Teen Vouge Beauty Award’ and is apparently good, so I chose this particular product.

I had high hopes with this product still without opening its seal, I decided to see it’s reviews online and was pleasantly surprised to find good reviews about this product. Most beauty bloggers claimed that this is an awesome product and is even better than most high end mascaras.

Packaging:
Cylindrical, black and white tube with a cap to hold the wand. The tube is generous in length and girth. There is a good amount of product for the money paid. The brush is rather unique, it is curvaceous with concave middle and it gives a good lift to lashes at the edges.

Texture:
It is not very runny or wet but is rather dry. However, it does not create clumpy lashes and hence, has perfect consistency.

Pigmentation:
One coat gives an instant lift and volume to the lash and is enough for a day look. For a more dramatic look one can go for two or three coats and they would be enough to give an appearance of false lashes.

Wear time:
Entire day except a little bit of fall out or transfer of product from lower lashes on to the under eye skin but that is minimal and barely noticeable. It does need few minutes to dry or it gets transferred to the skin and that is a pain to remove. It gave me nice, voluminous lashes but I do not know, if they were retro or not. I mean, I am not sure if what constitutes as retro. But nevertheless, I was satisfied by the end result and absolutely loved it.
