Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum Review
A relatively new entry into the perfume market from Roberto Cavalli – the Roberto Cavalli Eau De Parfum is a perfume for the Roberto Cavalli woman – sexy, sophisticated, elegant. “She is uncontrollable. She has a feline grace and the energy of a rebellious creature.” This is obvious from the ad film on the Roberto Cavalli website which shows a very hot Elisa Sednaoui in an animal print outfit, strutting along with a tiger. Do check it out :-). This fragrance has been designed by Louise Turner from Givaudan.

My Experience with Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum:
The bottle is a simple, oval-shaped glass bottle, while the liquid inside is gold colored. However, the top of the perfume bottle makes up for the simplicity of the bottom part. The lid is shaped like a crown, forming the shape of the maker’s initials – RC. The base of this “crown” has the name “Roberto Cavalli” engraved on it, and beneath it is an animal print strip.
The overall look is luxurious. The gold color, the engraving, and the animal print – they all give you some very sexy vibes :-). The bottle is stable and stands on its own, though I wouldn’t call it travel friendly. It is a beautiful addition to anyone’s vanity table and instantly glams up the space :-).
Immediately on spraying, the scent feels a bit strong but in an exotic and sensual way. The top notes feel like some strange, oriental, exotic wild flower and reminds me of brightly colored flowers growing amidst dense greenery :-).
The initial power of the scent settles down soon enough and gives way to a more mellow, vanilla-ish smell. Now, it begins to smell less exotic and closer home, like a more familiar scent. This is good, since as time goes by, and you begin to sweat, the initial strong notes would end up smelling almost rancid, but the middle notes are sweeter and it feels like the scent has settled upon your body.
The final notes are more earthy, and you get whiffs of musk and sandal. It all feels very comforting and the scents are not headache-inducing at all! Overall, it is a very feminine fragrance, and you can wear it if you’re feeling flirty or fun – goes for every mood and every occasion. What’s more, I think it’s suitable for all ages too. The scent lasts quite a while. I sprayed it around mid morning and it was good till dinner time :-). Even among expensive perfumes, there aren’t many that last this long.
I am not prone to allergies in general, yet I haven’t had any problems with the scent. I even sprayed it on my clothes and it didn’t leave a stain.
Apparently they have also released a shower gel and body lotion with this EDP, but I don’t know if they are available in India yet.
Pros of Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum:

- Perfume smells good throughout it’s life after spraying.
- Does not cause irritations or headaches.
- Long lasting, good for a whole day out.
- Does not smell rancid.

Cons of Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum:
Initial burst of the perfume is a bit strong.- Not easily available in India.
- Price is on the higher side.
IMBB Rating:
4.9/5
Would I Recommend/Will I Repurchase Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum?
My rating of 4.9 answers this question! This is perfect to gift the women in your family this Diwali, it is quite unlikely they will dislike it! The price is on the higher side, but then quality perfumes never come cheap. Go for it and it will be worth every penny!!
