Rodial Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel Review

By Nishita P.

Greetings lovely people,

Today’s post is a review about this magic gel which provides super plumping effect to the skin overnight – it’s the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel. I have been using this for a month now and thought it’s the right time to review the product based on the results I have seen on my skin.

Rodial Dragon's Blood Sculpting Gel

$98 for 50 ml/1.69 fl oz.

Product Description:
A revolutionary anti-aging gel that volumises and defines facial contours by plumping sagging skin through stimulating the production of collagen to help skin appear firmer and more lifted. Containing our unique dragon’s blood complex, sap from the Croton Lechleri tree, this forms a unique second skin-like film around the face which effectively protects, reduces redness and firms for a smoother, plumper, more youthful-looking complexion. The best-selling product out of our “Dragon’s Blood” range, this is ideal for those with stressed or sensitive skin and who wish to achieve firmer, lifted facial contours.

Aqua (Water), Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Butylene Glycol, Polysilicone-11, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Laureth-4, Polyacrylamide, Phenoxyethanol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Benzyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Laureth-7, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Croton Lechleri Resin Extract, Lupinus Albus (White Lupin) Extract, Parfum (Fragrance), Propylene Glycol, Limonene, Dehydroacetic Acid, Commiphora Mukul Resin Extract, Geraniol, Potassium Sorbate, Linalool, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Fruit Extract, Sorbic Acid, Tocopherol, Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract

My Experience with Rodial Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel:

The product claims on the packaging that it contains XXL plumping formula to volumize and define facial contours. It really lives up to the claim. The first night of the application, I immediately started to feel a slight tingling effect and could feel it working. Apart from applying all over the face, I apply it on my neck area, the collar bones and also, I try to concentrate or pack on a little extra product on regions where I see appearance of fine lines. If there is any excess product left, I use it on my hands, so they get some pampering too 😛

The gel texture is really lightweight and absorbing. The next morning, my skin was hydrated, glowing from within. The redness near the nose and cheek area disappeared and also felt like I had a mini face lift. Over a period of time, I have observed that my cheekbones and jawline felt more defined and skin felt even, firm, smooth and skin tone was improved.

During some days, I tend to get small tiny bumps on the skin if it’s irritated due to the weather or some harsh products. Rodial Sculpting gel actually helped by giving my skin relief from the irritation and decreased the bumps over time. The product suggests that it can be used twice a day, every day. Maximum results are achieved if this is followed, honestly!

I use the gel as a mask before heading to a wedding, night out or any other occasion. I use a thick layer on the skin and keep it for an hour or wait till the product gets absorbed, take a partially wet tissue and wipe of the excess and apply my makeup. I have observed that I do not need a highlighter as there is this natural glow from the skin (which is really hard to hide!). I also apply the gel on my cupid’s bow to get the plumped lip effect, because.. hey, everyone likes a nice pout 😛
