Here goes another weekend Phew! We are yet to resume our schedule after the tiring but refreshing Oregon trip. Time is flying with jet speed now days!! Anyways, I am here to share another lip care product with you all which needs no introduction among IMBBians. It is none other than Rosebud Smith’s lip balm which comes in tube with rose and mandarin flavor. It is my first product from them as well and I am glad I bought. So, let’s begin with Smith’s Rose and Mandarin Lip Balm Rosebud Perfume Co!
Price: $7 for 0.5 Oz (14.2 g), price excludes shipping and tax.
Ingredients: Petrolatum, Cotton Seed Oil, Trade Secret Perfume Premix, Orange Spice, All Natural Orange Blend.
What it is:
A multitasking lip and body balm bursting with an intoxicating natural rose and mandarin scent, now in a convenient tube for on-the-go use.
What it is formulated to do:
This ultra-hydrating lip and body balm is formulated as an all-purpose skin preparation to heal chapped skin, razor burn, chaffed skin, diaper rash, or other minor skin irritations. It’s enriched with natural rose, mandarin, and exotic spices to deeply nourish and soothe the skin, leaving behind a delicate fragrance.
My Experience with Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith’s Rose & Mandarin Lip Balm:
The balm comes in travel-friendly tube packaging unlike tub packaging; which is very convenient for travelling or otherwise being hygienic. It smells heavenly of roses with citrus notes in between though the smell does not last for long while using it on lips or skin.
The texture of this balm seems similar to that of rose bud salve tub version just that it comes in tube with rose & mandarin flavor for a change. The tube seems tiny at first sight but it will last for good 2-3 months even if used daily. Needless to say a small tear drop size balm works wonder on skin and lips. This is a multipurpose effective treatment for my cracked lips, dry skin areas. I like how it melts on our skin to give soft and silky feel behind with no irritation or greasy residue. It gives clear glossy finish to lips which make it perfect for everyone either use it alone for pink lips or under matte stains since it does not impart any color on its own.
Usually petrolatum products are big nay for me but this lip balm proved an exception, as I do not feel any irritation or break outs with this product thankfully! It replaced my traditional Boroline during our trip to treat our cracked and wilted skin which was after effect of playing in snow LOL! It also gave me soft and smooth lips overnight without being greasy or slippery on skin. In fact, I also observed smooth hands while using it at intervals apart from treating minor cuts during our trip. Moreover, my hubby forgot to bring his after shave lotion on the trip and he has to use this balm as alternative to his lotion which was his best decision as per his own experience. He said that the balm instantly gave him relief from bruises and razor burns while he felt soft and smooth skin throughout his trip.
However, I feel that it might be too oily for me during summers unlike winters. I mean I find it perfect for winters but summers already seem accentuating my oily pores and hence I can’t take risk of using this petroleum product on my lips or hands. Overall, I am really happy with this purchase, it certainly works as multipurpose balm in our life provided I limit its usage to winters only. I will definitely recommend this tube version of rosebud salve to all of you being completely hygienic and travel-friendly. I will definitely get it again!
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith’s Rose & Mandarin Lip Balm:
- Our very own Rosebud Salve available in much hygienic and travel-friendly, tube packaging
- It certainly works as multipurpose balm as per its claims
- It effectively treats dry, chapped lips without causing further irritation or issues
- It also helps with razor bums or burns for men too.
- It did give me soft hands overnight during our trip to highly cold and snow fall area.
- A small drop-sized product is more than enough to work wonders on lips or skin
- It certainly replaced pour traditional Vaseline/Boroline throughout our trip
Cons of Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith’s Rose & Mandarin Lip Balm:
• Petrolatum might be bothering for sensitive skin
• It might be tricky for oily skin beauties in summers
Well apart from these cons, I hardly see any point to skip it in our life. I will definitely recommend this rose & mandarin flavor to every beauty, you will definitely love the rose & citrus combination in single balm, though it won’t last long. I would give it 4.8/5!
