I have tried so many lip balms till date and I keep hoarding them for no reason. But doesn’t it feel awesome to have a collection? I have tried a lot of twist-up lip balms but the tins are something that was left to be tried. So I picked up a gorgeous strawberry lip balm. See how this cutie-pie worked for me.
Price: $7/Rs 470
What it is: A strawberry-scented lip balm to soothe dry lips.
What it is formulated to do: Indulge your sweet tooth as you soothe chapped lips with Rosebud’s delicious strawberry-scented lip balm. Following in the Rosebud tradition of easy-to-use products, this vintage-inspired tin contains a combination of rich emollients that lock in moisture and banish dryness after only one application.
Directions: Simply dab on chapped lips when needed.
My Experience with Rosebud Perfume Co. Strawberry Lip Balm:
Packaging: The lip balm comes in a gorgeous looking gold tin with the lip balm inside it. The tin itself looks very luxurious. It is very compact and hence can be carried around easily. It can be a cute little item for gifting too. The only issue is the tin packaging; I have long nails hence dipping my finger every-time is not a wise option. Hence I would prefer stick packaging only but it is cute to own this one. The price is a bit expensive but the whole range of lip balms are close to this price range.
Shade, consistency and feel on the lips: The shade looks like a nice natural pink in the tin but on the lips it goes very sheer with only a very light baby pink tint. Hence it will not cover pigmented lips but most of the lip balms won’t, so not an issue. This is the lightest shade in the whole range and I think the other ones have some visible tints. The consistency is a bit waxy but glides very smoothly on my lips. A very little quantity is needed at once, so this lip balm will go on for long. It does not feel sticky or heavy on the lips, but the hair might stick to the lips.
Results: The results were just amazing. It perfectly treats dried out and chapped lips making them appear healthier and pinker. It treats chapped lips in say a week or so, hence this can be a really great one for winters. It can also be used as a lip mask before application of lipsticks to avoid dry patches. Apply a thick layer for 10 minutes and then wipe it off and you will have baby-soft lips. It can be used as a good everyday lip balm to keep the lips healthy. Totally recommended if you can splurge that much amount!
