Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat Review

Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat Review

Hello all,

I just hate winters here in London. The days are shorter and depressing. The skin is becoming dull and dry, the lips are getting chapped and nails are getting brittle.  The need to take good care of the skin in winters is so important and thank God, IMBB exists for such tips. Another new member in my winter must-have is Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base and Top Coat.  This is amazing and takes care of “waterless” nails this winter.

Price:

GBP 4.99 for 13.3 ml.

Ingredients:

Sally Hansen Double Top Coat

Product Details:

  • How it works- Patented 2 in 1 formula; base coat: Panthenol formula smoothes nail surface and helps grip nail colour for longer wear. Top coat: Nylon and pro vitamin B5 shields nails with a hard shiny and chip resistant finish.
  • The result: Stronger, flawless manicures and colours that last.

How To Use:

Base coat: Apply 1 coat to clean bare nails, let dry.
Top coat: Apply over dried nail paint. Let dry.

Packaging:

This comes in a box pack, just as a lot of other Sally Hansen products. The nail varnish comes in a see-through glass bottle with twist sea green coloured cap. The wand and hair are white in colour. The bottle is a unique design as the front is curved and the back is flat which makes it easy to hold and grip.

My Experience with Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat:

I have been keen on buying Sally Hansen products for a long time, and hence when I saw them available on sale at the local drug store, I picked it up. I use normal top coats and base coats; I have never used anything which hardens the nail or are chip resistant. The nail paint is completely transparent and is very liquid in consistency; which makes them last for long. I have been using this for over a month now and I simply love it. It has no weird smell and dries within 10 seconds. I always used to bite my nails till I was in college and thus my nails have always been brittle and chips easily. After getting married, I took care of nails by rubbing lemon juice, massaging with oil, etc.  All these home remedies helped to grow my nails but I always was looking for something to harden them as well.

Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat 4

This product suffices all my needs.  This one is always on my bare nails as a base coat and then as a top coat. I am a kind of a person who cannot do without nail paints and this one has proved out to be a blessing for me. This has no doubt made my nails hard and shiny; and has aided the nails condition. Just to mention, I do wash utensils here in London which makes nail paint chips easily, but with its application, the nail polish lasts for 4 days without chipping at all. Boon isn’t it?
