Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Hardner

Hi all,

Today’s is a review of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Hardener nail treatment product.

Website Details: It was in the late 1950s when Sally Hansen, together with her chemist husband pioneered a nail protection formula called Hard As Nails. Touted as “the nail clinic in a bottle,” Hard As Nails established Sally Hansen as what is now the number one brand of nail care.

My Experience with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Hardner:

I have had brittle nails that were breaking and chipping off quite often preventing them from growing out long. Also my nails were getting stained with the nail polishes that I was using. The first nail hardener that I tried was one by VOV, though it did strengthen the nails and prevented nail staining it didn’t give the strength that I wanted from preventing breakage. So I bought Sally Hansens Hard as Nails at a mall and have been using it for a couple of months. The results are good, less breakage and chipping and my nails are growing out. Though I wouldn’t say they never break as gardening and housework do take a toll on our nails, and I forget to reapply every week.

It comes is a small see though medicinal type of bottle with a black cap. It is transparent in colour and the consistence is runnier than that of nail polishes. It dries quickly and can also be used as a top coat to protect the nail colour. It tends to flake off after a few days but since it’s a clear colour one won’t notice it.

Pros of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Hardner:

• Dries quickly
• Strengthens and protects nails
• Keeps the nails from staining
• Goes on smooth & lasts for nearly a week

Cons of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Hardner:

• Tends to flake off from the cuticle & nail tips after a few days
• Not easily available

Rating: 4.75/5

Recommendation: Highly recommended and though I am satisfied with this nail hardner, there are many varieties of Sally Hansen’s nail treatment and I may try out another one next time.

  1. wow that’s such an interesting product *happy dance*

very good review…I have not so perfect nails, this could just work ..I hope *whistle*

  2. I am getting this Elizabeth *happy dance* *happy dance* love sally hansen’s stuff *haan ji* *thankyou* *thankyou* sooo more for this *happy dance*

  3. I also had brittle, hard to grow long nails. I have been using Oriflame nail shield for some months now and it works for me. But you can’t use the product completely, some amount at the bottom of the bottle always gets wasted as it becomes very viscous. Would try this out next. Does it also have the same problem Elizabeth?
