Sally Hansen Maximum Shield Review

Sally Hansen Maximum Shield

Hi all

I am back with another review for you all. All thanks to my visit to Quest mall recently. Quest Mall is the second largest shopping mall in Eastern India. It is also the first luxury mall of Kolkata and the largest of its kind in India. So gear up people of Kolkata, check out all the brands it has to offer, which includes Michael Kors and Gucci.

Okay, now coming to the product which I will be reviewing now, Sally Hansen Maximum Shield which promises to give stronger nails in just 1 week.

Price: 390 INR

What the product claims: Harder nails in 1 week!! Fortifies problem nails instantly. Protects nails against breaking, splitting and tearing. A powerful nail hardener that reinforces nails. Dual aldehyde formula bonds to nails making them harder and more durable.

My experience with Sally Hansen Maximum Shield:

I have heard rave reviews about Sally Hansen products and when I noticed Sally Hansen counter in the mall, I could not resist myself to go and buy some of its products. I asked for Hard as Nails but they said it is unavailable so they suggested me to try out this product. Since the product is not costly so I thought to give it a try.

The hardener has a gel like consistency, neither too thick nor too runny and once applied properly, it dries out as a transparent and smooth base coat. Drying time is around 60 seconds. The first thing I noticed about this hardener is it smoothened out few peelings of my nails and when I deliberately tried to bend my nails, it did not budge much!! Hence, for me, this product was an immediate winner. The only issue I have with my nails is that they break easily after a certain length. I just hope that with time, my nails will be break resistant so that I can flaunt my nail colours on my long nails 😀

I used it as a base coat for my nail polish. Just be sure that before applying the nail polish, the hardener has dried completely otherwise it would be a messy affair. The nail polish goes off smooth without any issue on top of this hardener.

Pros of Sally Hansen Maximum Shield:

• Sally Hansen at this price.. me wants a dance
• After application, nail looked visibly healthy and did not budge even when pressure applied.
• Dries as a smooth and transparent base coat

Cons of Sally Hansen Maximum Shield:

• Nothing from my side. The only thing which can be taken care of is, due to its consistency, if not properly applied, can appear and feel streaky.

If you looking for a nail hardener at a decent price, please give this product a try. You won’t be disappointed…Bye till we meet again.
