Sally Hansen Pedicure in a Minute Review

Sally Hansen Pedicure in a Minute Review

I am just obsessed with beautiful feet. Ever since I have seen the advertisement where the beautiful lady in question needs to hide her feet during a function, I am scared that I would have to face a similar situation. Beautiful feet means regular pedicures and keeping them hydrated to have them looking pretty all the time. I chanced upon Sally Hansen Pedicure in a minute on one of the online sites. Without a second thought, I invested in it.

Product Description:

A Spa Pedicure in 60 Seconds.  Instantly polish away dryness and leave feet soft and rehydrated. Pamper your feet with a blend of natural sugar crystals. Experience smoother, softer, nourished, and protected feet in just a minute. Results Guaranteed. Salon Tested – Dermatologist Tested – Podiatrist Tested.

My Experience with Sally Hansen Pedicure in a Minute:

The product comes in a simple squeeze tube with a firmly closing flip-to-open cap. It smells of olive oil mixed with tea tree but is not very strong. It is a colourless, sugar-based emollient scrub which is not runny but neither too thick.

The scrub contains tea tree oil, sugar crystals, vitamins A, C, E, Pro-vitamin B5 and olive oil among other ingredients. It can be used in two ways.

For intense exfoliation, rub it onto dry feet, applying extra pressure to rough spots. The sugar crystals start to dissolve as you rub your feet removing dry skin in the process. After the crystals have dissolved, I tend to leave the product on for another 5 minutes for extra moisturization.  A regular wash with warm water will wash away the residue. It leaves behind a layer of of the emollient which makes the feet look moisturized. No extra moisturization is required.

For a regular exfoliation, I wet my feet and then apply the scrub. This makes the sugar crystals dissolve rather quickly which does make the product aptly named as pedicure in a minute.

The scrub removes dry and dead skin, softens the feet and also moisturizes, but the moisturization does not last beyond a couple of hours. It is a perfect product for last minute pedicures.

Sometimes, I also use it for manicures, but keeping the massage pressure really low or it may cause abrasion.

Pros of Sally Hansen Pedicure in a Minute:

  • Exfoliates feet wonderfully.
  • Removes calluses to some extent.
  • Contains natural sugar for exfoliation.
  • Makes the feet super soft, smooth and rehydrated.
  • Leaves a moisturising layer post the wash.
  • Definitely gives a super quick salon-like pedicure.
  • Lasts a long time since the amount used per pedicure is relatively small.
  • Salon tested – dermatologist tested, podiatrist tested.
  • Can be doubled up for manicure.

Cons of Sally Hansen Pedicure in a Minute:

  • Slightly expensive.
  • Sugar particles are a little abrasive when used on dry feet.
  • I am not too fond of the smell 🙁
  • Contains parabens.
