After graduating from high school, I wanted to do some serious nail care as I love long and healthy nails and I don’t like getting nail extensions, so I started researching and after lots and lots of research, I heard about the Sally Hansen vitamin E nail and cuticle oil. I heard only good things and I decided to go ahead and buy it. So, here is my review on the cuticle oil.
“The secret to beautiful nails is having healthy cuticles. Sally Hansen nail & cuticle treatment oil moisturizes and strengthens your cuticles with vitamin E. It keeps your nails healthy and soft, preventing painful hang nails.” This is a nail and cuticle oil which not only moisturises and hydrates the cuticles but also prevents nail breakage and enhances nail growth.
- Wash and dry your hands and nails.
- Brush on oil onto the nails and cuticles and massage it in.
- Massage in circular motions all around each nail.
- Let it sit overnight for best results.
- Get soft, healthy looking cuticles and smoother nails.
- Absorbs quickly into nails and cuticles to deeply hydrate.
- Strengthens and nourish nails.
I really like its packaging, this cuticle oil comes in a cute, tiny transparent glass bottle with a golden cap on it and comes with a brush applicator.
Price and Quantity:
About ₹650 for 13.3 ml or 0.45 fl oz.
My Experience with Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil:
My nails are a little dry and brittle, so I started looking for a good product and after a lot of research, I came across this Sally Hansen cuticle and nail oil. I use this nightly and it really does amazing things. I won’t say that this has made my nails long, perfect, and they don’t break anymore, but yes, it does helps majorly. My nails now grow faster as massaging the oil increases the blood circulation and stimulates new nail growth.
The oil is a bit yellow in color and sort of watery, so it spreads easily. It comes with a brush applicator which looks exactly like the one which comes in an expensive nail polish which is really good as it picks up just the right amount of product and spreads it evenly on the nails. The best thing about this oil is that it’s non sticky, does not feel heavy at all and when massaged around the nail gets absorbed quickly.
Its regular application makes my cuticle soft and nails healthy. It is also good for the ones with a sensitive nose as it has no offensive scent, but the addition of alcohol and parabens in the ingredient list makes me anxious sometimes. Overall, I won’t say that this is the best nail and cuticle oil available, but it works for me in the best way and I really like it.
Pros of Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil:
- Does its job well.
- A little goes a long way.
- Cute and handy packaging.
- Amazing brush applicator.
- Enhances nail growth.
- Has no annoying smell.
- Gets absorbed quickly and feels very lightweight.
- Watery in texture, so spreads easily.
Cons of Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil:
- Contains paraben.
- Contains alcohol.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil?
Yes, I would recommend and repurchase it as it works wonders, but I am still searching for a chemical-free cuticle oil so that it doesn’t harm my nails in the long run.
