Sana Nameraka Honpo Tounyuu Isofurabon Emulsion Review

Hi guys!

I have talked about this brand before and how all of their products are soy milk based. This one is no different. Let’s find out more.

My Thoughts on Sana Nameraka Honpo Tounyuu Isofurabon Emulsion:

This is a perfect addition to my skincare routine at the moment. It is very lightweight and a product I can slap on, even on bad skin days (my acne flares up sometimes because of PCOS). On the bottle, it says ‘fukkura mochi hada’, that is it will give you skin plump and soft like mochi (pounded sticky rice). You can see the term mochi hada on a lot of skincare products in Japan.

Consistency: The consistency is exactly like the La Sana Hair Milk I recently reviewed. This one is also a water-based product. It is very lightweight and spreads like a dream. It does not take effort to blend this because it is so thin. It does not leave a sticky residue behind, it practically melts and becomes one with the skin.

Moisturising properties: The true testament to a product’s claim as moisturiser is on my feet. My feet are drier than the Sahara and they have been that way all my life. So I used a small amount on one foot (and kept the other one bare – as control), my foot was moisturised for the entire day. It only came off when I washed it. As for my face, I have combination skin. I have extremely dry skin in my under-eye area, oily skin on my eyelids and T-zone and normal skin elsewhere. So you can see it is truly a mixed pot. The Japanese drugstore skincare usually caters most to dry skin. You have to look harder to find things suited for combination to oily skin. So I picked this up because an emulsion is a nice in-between moisturiser and thick serum. Sometimes, I don’t use toner and use this alone after washing my face at morning and night. This works for the entirety of my face, I am happy to report.

Does it layer well under makeup? It works wonderfully under makeup. I find I need to go in with a thicker moisturiser if I am using something very mattifying like the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. Otherwise, it works well.

Who will it suit best? Because it is so lightweight, oily skin people will really like this. But I can see even dry skin people enjoying incorporating this product into their routine.

Pros of Sana Nameraka Honpo Tounyuu Isofurabon Emulsion:

• Lightweight and thin consistency
• Colour-free, mineral oil-free and scent-free
• Easy to spread
• Works well under makeup
• Will work for all skin types
• Inexpensive – you are getting a lot of product for a reasonable price

Cons of Sana Nameraka Honpo Tounyuu Isofurabon Emulsion:

• None
