I’m going to review a new launch from Maybelline today. Maybelline has come out with 4 new baby lips balm with a revamped packaging. I think these are now available at all stores but I picked up mine from Shopper’s Stop. I picked up the shade pink shock which was wearable among the other shades. Read on to know more!

My Experience with Maybelline Electro Pop Pink Shock Baby Lips:

Packaging:

I’m sooooooo glad Maybelline came out with a new packaging for baby lips. I always found the U.S baby lips packaging cuter as compared to the baby lips in India. It comes in a twist up lipstick like packaging. It looks adorable, black and pink with the shade colour on the top so it’s easier to determine which shade it is if you have more of these.

Shade:

Pink shock is a bright pink shade. It’s a lip balm so obviously it is quite sheer. You can definitely layer it to get a little more colour on the lips. I think the electro pop shade has a tad bit more colour payoff as compared to the simple baby lips.

Texture:

The texture of the lip balm is nice it glides on smoothly and gives a shiny finish . It is quite moisturizing as it contains shea butter. It stays on the lips for 2-4 hours without munching on food. So the 8H claim is so not true. I use it in the night and wake up with baby soft lips so I give it big thumbs up on the moisturizing part.

Scent:

Pink shock is in a watermelon flavour but its tasteless 😛 I expected it to taste sweet on the lips at least. But it surely smells like sweet watermelon. The scent doesn’t stay on the lips though; you can smell it only in the tube.
