Scholl Rough Skin Remover Review

My mother uses the Scholl Foot and Nail Cream and swears by it. I have used it a few times but did not find it to be a match against my staple Fabindia foot cream. So I was very sceptical that this scrub would work for me. Nevertheless, I purchased this on one my random trips to a lifestyle store (yes, lifestyle does house scholl products in its shoe section!) but did not use it for quiet sometime because I was so sure I was gonna hate it :p However, one fine evening when my feet were feeling really tired after a long walk I decided to experiment with this and I must say I was more than happy with the result ๐Ÿ™‚ Here is an account of my experience with this product:
Scholl Rough Skin Remover
What it claims: Scholl Rough Remover has an intensive exfoliating action clinically proven to remove rough, hard skin and promote natural cell renewal, leaving your feet soft, smooth and conditioned.
โ— Highly Effective combination of natural pumice and fruit AHAโ€™s
โ— Instant visible results
โ— 80 per cent of users report good/excellent results in 7 days
โ—Dermatologically tested
Scholl Rough Skin Remover

Directions: Apply to clean, dry skin. Massage over feet in a circular motion, then rinse. For best results use 2-3 times a week and follow with Scholl Foot and Nail Cream or Scholl Foot Cream Mousse.

My own directions: Even though the instructions call upon you to apply this on dry feet, I have seen that it works best once you have soaked your feet in warm water and wiped them clean followed by this scrub. The sequence I follo is: Soak-wipe- scrub-dry-smooth-moisturise
Price and Quantity: Rs.150 for 75 ml

The Good About Scholl Rough Skin Remover

โ— A good remedy for those whose heels are a problematic area and remain dry or rough in the winter climate. And it DOES soften dead, rough skin.
โ— Particularly effective after a long day of walking in flats.
โ— I experience no pain or discomfort while scrubbing my feet with it. Other than hydrating and smoothening my feet, it scrubs away all the dirt without feeling rough or abrasive on my skin.
โ— My feet feel very silky, even and smooth immediately after use and the effect lasts for about half a day.
โ— The fragrance: A mild, pleasant and very fresh smell that I find difficult to describe. However, the scent is just exactly how I would want my feet to smell.
โ— The packaging: comes in a portable tube with a flip cap that can be easily carried around even while travelling. Besides, a tube is more hygienic than using a potted product.
โ— The consistency:ย  I like its cream like consistency which is neither too thick to rub in with your fingers nor too runny to keep turning your feet here and there to handle it! It also has embedded granules which act to exfoliate. It is best to spread a newspaper below your feet because as you scrub your feet out, these granules will turn powdery and fall down.

The Bad About Scholl Rough Skin Remover

โ— This isnโ€™t a miraculous scrub. You have to persistently use this 2-3 times a week. However, if you already have healthy feet, this will help you in keeping them that way without much ado. ๐Ÿ™‚ I use it only once a week. ๐Ÿ™‚
โ— You have to soak your feet in warm water for quite sometime before you use it else it will show only negligible results. It wonโ€™t work if you try to use it straightaway while in your bath or on unsoaked feet ๐Ÿ™‚
โ— It does require a bit of an effort to get the whole product off your feet or perhaps I am too lazy and get tired of going round and round over my feet :p

Rating: 4/5
Verdict: A good buy and definitely worth more than its price ๐Ÿ™‚
Would you purchase again?: Yes

  1. Hey Natasha….good review :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: I have seen scholl products at medical stores also………………

  2. :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:
    sounds like an interesting product…..

but it has all the parabens possible :(( :((

      1. natasha u asked me how i was liking bourjois foundation…
two words- its awesome.. albeit if u have oily skin>> it works wonders..iv even used mac foundation… but bourjois is the one il give thumbs upto ..for texture, coverage , oil control, everything…
if u dont have oily skin problem then their “healthy mix’ foundations are also working pretty well ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. yeah, i had read good things about it on another blogas well. but wanted second opinion. thanks so much :-* :-* i also read the ingredient list and i think it is paraben free. i have a free sample which the SA gave me- will try it. how much is it for btw?

          1. ohh bourjois gives samples??
            its about rs 980
yep yep it is paraben free. ๐Ÿ™‚ we already use so many paraben wala products and dont mind so much , but as they say drop by drop makes an ocean.. so whn u see a product dats paraben free its likee :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2:

do leme know how swatches fare with u.. i curious as to how well it matches ur shade if it does ๐Ÿ™‚

                  1. yep its bio detox… i dont think bourjois’s other foundations have fared this well…
u have that mineral one ankita ..hows it?

                    1. My mum has the mousse 3-in-1 foundation. I have to say, her skin looks better with that than even her MAC foundation. Its perfect for her oily/combo skin, gives a perfect matte finish (without looking cakey), conceals blemishes/pigmentation well, lasts for a long time and comes with an awesome brush(which looks like a kabuki brush in a smaller version). I don’t know anyone else who has used it but its my mum’s HG mousse foundation.

                  2. ok ankita, i will give your mom’s foundation also a shot as nehha says this bioetox is difficult to blend. :((
actually i have been hearing a lot of good things about bourjois foundations lately and most ppl compare it to mac for some reason and find them better than mac :yahoo: :yahoo:

              1. just one thing to check natasha..its a pain to blend, if ur good at blending/use primer thn go for this one…
im happy u have sample to try it out 1st ๐Ÿ™‚

              2. yeah i purchased a sweet kiss lippie alongwith an eye pencil neha from ambience mall. and the SA just slipped the sachet of foundation into my bag saying that they were giving out samples of the foundation- i guess they were doing that only if u purchase something. but since u already got the whole foundation they must have not given u the sample

    1. i saw it in the dlf promenade lifestyle store    u can even find it in C.P at Heels :yelo: :yelo:

        1. oh i mean ambience vasant kunj lifestyle. i always gets confsed with those 3 malls all together    i like heels too ratidoo

  3. oooohhh.. nice review natasha ๐Ÿ™‚
i have been considering trying Oriflame’s foot creams, i guess i’ll give this one a shot too ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. suma i did purchase the oriflame foot cream (the one in a green tube) but found it pretty average. The Fabindia foot cream is way better at the same price. If u r willing to shell out a bit more then i also swaear by the TBS hemp foot cream :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

  4. u even get these in reliance footprint… i hve scholl foot and nail cream and for scrubbing i use callouse and hard skin remover again by scholl which is again great…but i wonder how this remover will wrk diffrently den wht i have :sidefrown:

    1. oh thanks vanisha! this is almost over and so now i know what to buy next!  yes i think the one meant for calluses would be a lot more effective for removing hard skin

  5. I really wnat to try some scholl stuff but i keep forgetting to purchase it..something or teh other always tempts me. :(( This time buy only scholl ๐Ÿ˜

  6. ohh nice….. ๐Ÿ™‚ i am gonna try this….:) :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yelo:

U write such nice reviews Natasha…

  7. really good review Natasha. ๐Ÿ˜€ me had more or less the same experience with this!its a pain getting it off my feet! and the use it on dry feet is something i never understood!:X:P

  8. hi natasha, I am using this foot scrub too…its superb… i m soo liking it too… it feels lik it has crushed pumic stone..
