Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File Review

Hi Beauties,

Today, I will be reviewing a product, which has shown amazing results on my feet since I bought it; especially during Durga puja. Nobody likes to see cracks or calluses on their feet. Worse still, when someone else points it out to you when you sit for havan, kirtan, etc. We cannot frequent the parlor for pedicure everyday and dipping feet in warm water and then scrubbing it with a pumice stone every day is really beyond me! In addition to tired hands and the long time it takes, I do not always get the results I want, and that’s smooth and clear feet.

Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File

Well, Scholl, a well-known brand for foot care items has come up with this electronic foot file, which I had first seen in a television ad featuring Lara Dutta. I was intrigued, but the cost of the foot file deterred me from getting it.  However, I was really tired with using my pumice stone every day; and finally, during the Navratri shopping, I saw this machine at a discount; and finally bought it. I shall be reviewing this machine for you today.

Product Description:

My Experience with Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File:

The foot file comes sealed in a tough plastic packaging. It has a foot file, the roller, and four AA size batteries included in the kit. The file is blue is color and convenient enough to hold in the hand. It has a roller (the rough pumice roller) at one end and the handle at the other end. In between, there is a silver-colored band, which has to be rotated anti-clockwise for the roller to start rotating; and then clockwise for it to stop.

The handle has a cap at the end, which when opened reveals the space to put in four AA size batteries.

There is a red ribbon in between the batteries, which has to be removed before the first use. At the roller end, there is a press button on one side, which can be pressed to remove the roller, either for washing or for replacement. Replacement rollers are available easily (for around Rs. 800/- I think). I do not have as much faith on this machine as I have on my Clarisonic, so I always remove the roller after each use to wash it; and then click it back into space. I have been reliably informed by the SA that if I use this machine twice a week, each roller head will give me satisfactory results for 9-10 months. So, all in all, not a bad investment.

Results: Excellent! The first time that I had used it, my feet were desperately in need of some TLC. I just rotated the silver band anti-clockwise and the roller started rotating. I used it on my dry feet and within 5-10 minutes, both my feet were looking smooth and polished. I used it again after 4-5 days; but on wet feet this time, but I did not get the same results.  So, I concluded that this machine works better on dry rather than wet feet.

My mom has used it (and she really had quite bad cracked feet). Her feet was 90% cured by using this roller pumice stone; at the first sitting itself. I did not feel any pain during the process and my feet really remained very clear for 4-5 days at least.

We apply “aalta” on our feet during holy occasions and I was really eager to put it on this year because my feet were so smooth and clear this time; no cracked feet and no calluses. No rough feet. no dead cells – only soft, smooth, clean, clear feet; that too within a short time, at home, without additional mess and without tired hands. Of course, I apply my foot cream at the end of the process.

  1. Very well reviewed! I had been wondering about this one for some time now but the price point was a deterrent. Now I’ll gladly pick this up! Thanks!

  2. Awesome Arps, I was actually waiting for someone to review this – it’s a bit of an investment and good to know that it actually works! It’s coming home with me next week 😛

  3. I had been dying to see its review on IMBB, really. I had heard a lot about it, but wanted a trusted person to review it, and here is your review. 🙂 Just like KK and Jomol, I am gonna pick this up too. It’s about time I started taking better care of my feet, have been ignoring them for a while now. Thank you for this. 🙂

  4. Around 6 months ago, on a trip to a Health&Glow outlet, the SA there gave me a demo of this product on my feet and I wasn’t happy with the result at all. I didn’t buy it for apparent reasons. Maybe she didn’t do it right 😐
