Hello IMBBians,

Feet is the least cared part in our body. Most of us have perfectly manicured hands but our feet look like we work in a coal mine. I am guilty of ignoring my feet. As it is winter right now, I am just lazy and skipping foot care as I always have my feet in boots. I decided to take care of my feet a bit to be summer ready and picked up a product for relaxation. My Experience with Scholl Velvet Smooth Foot Soak:
For a foot soak, I just use salt and mouthwash with a few drops of essential oil. I ran out of my foot soak tablets long ago and have been lazy for a long time. I recently decided to stock them up and it was then I noticed this bottle. Scholl is a trusted brand when it comes to foot care, after all. The foot soak comes in a transparent lotion-like bottle. It has a blue flip cap. The cap shuts well and it is travel-friendly. The color of the bottle has the typical Scholl colors: white and blue. The foot soak is teal in color and has a gel-like but runny consistency. It smells pleasant and has a hint of camphor fragrance
The product is recommended to be used after using the foot file. After that, go for the soak and follow up with a cream. When using a manual foot file, I prefer to soak my feet first and then remove the dead cells. How you want to use yours is your choice. I have used both methods. I noticed better results when I used the foot file first. The foot soak relaxes your feet and makes them feel fresh. It’s a perfect way to cleanse after buffing off the dry skin from your feet. The foot soak also softens the cuticles and nails and thus you can follow up with filing or removing the cuticles.
I tend to have very dry feet. If I do not follow up with a moisturizer after a foot soak, my feet get dry. But with this foot soak, my feet feel moisturized and nourished. The foot soak is a perfect way to relax tired feet. After a soak, your feet feel fresh and there is a natural healthy glow even without a massage. You need very less product for the soak as it is very strong. The foot soak does what it claims. As mentioned, it also contains green caviar, marine serum and Vitamin E. Thus, it just provides intense nourishment your feet craves for!
The main downside of the product is that it is not a necessity. You can get the same effects minus the cool, refreshing and relaxing part with salt and mouthwash. The other thing I noticed is that it contains SLS. This is the first time I have ever come across a foot soak that contains SLS and it doesn’t even lather. I also read that another ingredient, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, is an allergen. It is yet to be confirmed whether it is an allergen or an irritant but it is said to cause contact dermatitis. So, keep the product away from your kids (if you have any).
So, summing up:

IMBB Rating: 3/5
Would I Recommend Scholl Velvet Smooth Foot Soak?
If you like foot soaks, you can go for it. But it is not a mandatory purchase! The product is not available in every part of the world and this can hinder the reachability to India. It is a good product and works, but if you ask me if it’s a mandatory buy, the answer will be no!
