I change my shampoos often. I wanted to buy a Dove shampoo, as I wanted to go back to basics and ended up buying around 5 different ones! I sometimes feel that I am possessed when I shop! Anyway, today’s review is all about the first one I picked. Read on to know more about Schwarzkopf 7 Herbs Freshness and Volume Shampoo.

My Experience with Schwarzkopf 7 Herbs Freshness and Volume Shampoo:

The shampoo comes in a big light green bottle with a dark green flip cap. The bottle is sleek, but a bit big. The quality is pretty good and it sits easily on the shelf. The product closes with a click and there is no leakage or spillage. But, since it is a bulky bottle, it might not be a perfect companion for travelling. All the necessary information about the product is given on the backside of the bottle.

The shampoo is a bit runny and is pearl white in color. The dispenser mouth is pretty big than the usual and this causes more product to spill out than needed, especially when it is still new! The consistency is gel-crème like and it smells very herby. I love the smell and it feels very fresh and awakens all your senses!

I picked up this one because, it suited my hair type! My hair gets greasy on the second day and finding the right shampoo is always an issue! The second factor is that, it adds volume and that made me just add it to my shopping cart. The shampoo lathers well and a little product is more than enough for a thorough cleansing. The shampoo removes the dirt and oil from the hair effectively. Within one wash, it removes the thickest oil too! If I have a deep oil massage, then I use the shampoo twice for through cleansing. The shampoo clears any grime on the head and adds a sense of cleansed, refreshed feeling to the hair. A conditioner is a must, but without one too, it makes the hair soft and smooth. It adds a light shine to the hair.

The product is a volume shampoo and it restores the hair’s natural volume. So, you cannot expect amazing lift from the shampoo, but it adds a fluffiness in the hair and it is noticeable. The shampoo doesn’t eliminate frizz or static, which is a bummer! The product is great for everyday use. The product doesn’t contain silicones and the results are longer, but it does contain SLS. The product didn’t make my hair greasier the next day, which is great. I was able to go shampoo-free for almost 3 days! I am happy with the results. Other hair care products for nourishment needs to be added when using the shampoo, but it delivers what it claims.
