If you are a new mom or a fairly new mom – ok, let’s just say, if you are a mom, because I don’t think the situation is going to change irrespective of your child’s age, there is always paucity of time! So, one is always on the lookout for products that can speed things up for you. Ever since motherhood, I have been experimenting with leave-in conditioners because, sometimes (read: mostly), you really don’t have that extra 5 minutes for a normal conditioner to do its magic. I tried a couple of cream products but wasn’t too happy with them. So while getting a haircut at the salon, when the stylist suggested this spray conditioner, I thought, “OK, let’s give this a shot.” So, let’s see how this performed!

My Experience with Schwarzkopf Bonacure Cell Perfector Color Freeze Spray Conditioner:
I first tried this product about a year back when it was suggested to me at a salon. If left untouched, the product has 2 distinct layers. So, you basically need to shake it up and spray on to your hair and through the length of your hair. I am currently on my 3rd bottle of this product; spoiler alert – yes, I love this product! It’s just fantastic. It softens my hair, gives it a healthy shine, makes it manageable and does not weigh my hair down at all.
Initially I used to go very light with it on my hair because I was scared it might add weight and I would end up with product build up on my hair. But nothing of the kind happened. While travelling for vacations, I ended up using it on a daily basis; had no choice after a daily dose of swimming. So I would literally spray away to glory because I didn’t want my hair drying up or getting spoiled due to constant air conditioning or the chemicals in the pool. Despite heavy handed application, it just does not weigh the hair down, nor is their any greasy or slimy feel on the hair.
The product is pretty similar in formulation to Schwarzkopf Bonacure Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner which I also used once (1 bottle) when I couldn’t find this one. The only difference between the two is that this one is “Color Freeze”. So, if you use global colouring or have highlighted your hair (like I have), this one also protects your hair colour. The only thing which is missing here is that the conditioner doesn’t really help with detangling of your hair. I have fairly long hair (waist length), so I still need to use something like Livon which is excellent in detangling. But, honestly, I don’t mind that.

• May not control frizz effectively for extremely dry hair

I really do love this product. I tried a couple of other things from this brand (and even from others), but have gone back to using this again. So this really is HG for me! Can’t live without it. And, just to prove how much I love it, I got one for my dad too; yeah, he too has waist length hair like me.
