I am back with a hair care product that I had picked up long ago and completely forgot about it. Schwarzkopf is a German brand. ‘Schwarz’ in German means ‘Black’ and ‘kopf’ stands for ‘head’. So Schwarzkopf literally means Black head! 😛
I have extremely dry, thick, medium length, wavy hair which gets worse during winters. Back then, I needed a conditioner which would make my dry hair look healthy and manageable. I picked up this conditioner as it boasted of ingredients like argan oil. Read on, to find if this product worked for me.
Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur Ultimate Oil Elixir conditioner restores nourishment to dry and damaged hair. Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur Ultimate Oil Elixir conditioner with nourishing oil elixir refills hair gaps to reinforce hair structure and significantly reduce hair breakage.
1.95 Euros for 200 ml.
My Experience with Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur Hair Repair Ultimate Oil Elixir Conditioner:
Packaging: The conditioner comes in a golden bottle with a black flip cap. The cap closes tightly and prevents leakage. It is extremely travel friendly.
Texture: The conditioner is golden colored with shimmer particles. It looks like tiny bits of gold under direct sunlight. The conditioner’s consistency is not very thick and neither too runny, it’s just about right to spread evenly on hair.
The conditioner smells of cocoa and vanilla to me and the fragrance is very relaxing and pleasing to the senses, though it doesn’t last for long. The conditioner spreads easily on to damp hair. It takes a little effort while washing, as it makes your hair slippery and you feel like the product hasn’t completely come off.
It makes my hair shinier with the first wash. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, in fact, adds volume to my already thick hair. I do not have any hair fall issue, so I cannot comment on whether it reduces hair fall by 95% which it claims to do, though, I want to make it clear it hasn’t caused me any hair fall.
I bought this product as I wanted to tame my dry and frizzy hair, but it hasn’t impressed me much. My hair still feels dry and frizzy right from the day of hair wash and I need to rely on hair serums to control the frizz every time I use this conditioner. Moreover, Schwarzkopf is by no means a natural product (it has sulphates, silicones, alcohol and everything else required in a mass produced commercial product); the only reason I gave it a try was because of argan oil. This product hasn’t worked for me at all and I wouldn’t want to load my hair with unwanted chemicals when it doesn’t even deliver the desired results.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur Hair Repair Ultimate Oil Elixir Conditioner?
No, I would not repurchase. If you have extremely dry and frizzy hair and if you are looking for a hydrating conditioner to tame the frizz, then this product will disappoint you. This product might work for women with oily to normal hair.
