First of all, hats off to Schwarzkopf to come up with interesting product names. Nowadays there is a primer for everything. Eye primer, face primer and now it’s time for hair primer. I normally don’t use any primer as I am always running late. Adding primer to my routine will only reduce the actual amount of time I have for makeup. But I very much wanted to try a hair primer especially during weekends when I have sufficient time for hair dos.

My Experience with Schwarzkopf Got2b FOREPLAY Styling Hair Primer:
The packaging is very catchy and fun with yellow and pink details. You cannot miss this product on the counter. It has a plastic container with a pull up lid. Pulling up the lid, the dispenser opens and the product can be squeezed out. Pushing the lid back will close the dispenser. The packaging is very stable and will not open accidentally too. It’s a small handy product and fits in to handbags easily.
The consistency of the product is slightly creamy. It is not thick and hence easy to spread it all over moist hair and work with. The product is not oily and does not weigh the hair down.
This happens to be my first hair primer and was totally excited to try it. A hair primer is to be used prior to applying other styling products. It is recommended to use around 2 to 6 pumps depending on the length and thickness of the hair. I have shoulder length hair and I use around 3 pumps.
I normally use it only on the days when I want to try some kind of hair style. For that I first shampoo and condition my hair, towel dry it and then apply this product.
The product provides protection from humidity, dust and prevents oil build-up on the scalp. The primer provides the hair shine and smoothness along with texture making it look healthier. I have tried a few hairstyles using this product alone (not using any spray or mousse). I would say it works well in all ways but does not hold for long. I prefer using fewer products on my hair so this is an ideal product which replaces heat protection spray, hair spray etc. It’s true the product does not have great holding power but it is ok with me.
