Today, I will be reviewing a hair mousse. I had mentioned before that I do not like to try out hair products and I wanted to change that a little bit. Hence, I bought this mousse to step out of my comfort zone. Let us see how this one fares.

My Experience on Schwarzkopf Taft Shine Mousse:

This mousse comes packed in a nice red bottle that is light weight and convenient to use. It has a dispenser that is similar to a whipped cream dispenser. You have to press it and the mousse comes out of the tiny holes. The body displays all the details about the product in several different languages. Except for the plastic cap, I like everything about the packaging. The cap is a bit flimsy as compared to the rest of the bottle.

The mousse is very frothy in texture and you have to apply it quickly to the hair because I noticed that the bubbles in the mousse start to disappear and it looks like a soap lather in about 30 seconds. The mousse is very light weight and looks like foam. It says that the formula is a non sticky one. On the hair, it is non sticky , no doubt, but on the hands it is sticky.

It claims of 48 hour hold, which is completely false because when I used it, my curls did not last any longer than normal. I have natural curls and I did not notice any difference to them. I bought this mousse for the shine it claims to impart, but sadly there was not any shine. It was as if I have not applied anything to my hair! This mousse did nothing to my hair! It did not impart any shine nor did it hold my curls! It was a huge disappointment!

The next day, I observed my hair was drier than my hair usually is. But, luckily apart from that there was no damage to them. It did not make my hair ‘crunchy’ as people describe after using a strong hold mousse. It has a nice fragrance that lingers for a short while. Apart from the fragrance and the packaging, I did not like this mousse at all!

Pros of Schwarzkopf Taft Shine Mousse:

• Decently priced.
• Nicely packed.
• Does not make your hair crunchy.
• Easily available.

Cons of Schwarzkopf Taft Shine Mousse:

• Made my hair drier.
• Does not impart any shine.
• Does not hold my hair like the way it should.
• Flimsy cap.

Please skip this as this is just a waste of money, atleast for me it was! 🙁
