Sensi Professional Eyeshadow Pigments

Sensi Professional Eyeshadow Pigments

No brand for me is too small, no brand for me is too big. Makeup is all about quality and safety.  If it looks good and is good for my skin, then I will love it! I was inspired by Nids, who introduced us to Active Cosmetics makeup brand. So, I decided I am going to talk about a brand that perhaps is mostly unheard of in India, but is indeed a decent enough brand – Sensi Professional Makeup.  I grew up in Saudi Arabia, so I have heard about and seen this company’s products a lot over there. It is a brand that originated there. In simple words, they are like Sephora, they have multiple brands products available at their outlets and they also have their own collection of makeup and other beauty products.

SPM SCREENSHOT

This is what they say on their website about themselves:

“Sensi is the first perfume and cosmetic shop in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to break barriers between the products and the customer. In other words the customer can touch and try each and every product in the shop. Sensi is targeting the young and young at heart type of customers. Our shop talks! We enable that by having signs on each of decoration elements.

Some of Sensi values are:
• Very friendly atmosphere.
• Being young at heart.
• Being generous.
• Being dynamic.
• Being different.

Sensi Makeup is a unique range of products that are designed to meet the needs of the everyday modern woman with the professional know-how of the most talented makeup artists.  This unique makeup collection allows women to be innovation and trendy in their varied different makeup looks. Venture into a wide range of colors and products that answer to all tastes and the latest trends.”

I did have to change their grammar a bit to make it proper as their content must originally be in Arabic and the translator always makes some sentence fragmentation errors. Anyway, they could have just written “We are the Sephora of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” :hihi: but mind you, they have some really good-quality products.

You can find mainly fragrances from many brands at their stores, such as: Lancome, Chanel, Prada, Paco Rabanne, Dior, Nina Ricci, Lacoste, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Mont Blanc, Salvatore Ferragamo, etc.  You name it and that brand will be there! In stores, they have beauty products too from other brands, but online, I can also see fragrances. The makeup they have is something I have used and still do. Like I said, their quality is not at all bad and the reason I’m introducing this here is that who knows maybe one day they will become an internationally-revered brand and you heard about them much before only here on IMBB 😉 , where else?! 😀 You have to visit the website and check their products out.  Just by looking at them, you can make out that they mean business! They also have a Sensi Girl Makeup Collection targeted at younger girls.  The packaging is more colorful and attractive. Do visit the page and check out their cute packaging.

I now have their color pigments in 2 shades:

  • Blue.
  • Green.
  • Silver (glittery; its somewhere in between a pigment and a glitter).

golden pigment

I photographed the silver color without any flash to show its true shimmer-shimmer!  I have used makeup from all kinds of brands, right from an international MAC to our local Vega. So, I do believe I do have some sense of quality regarding products.  If we are reading and writing on a beauty blog about makeup, then we all have that sense surely.  So, with that sense, I can assure you that these have a “very industry standard” to them. They are deep and pure pigments, where you get what you see.  Whether you use them in their original form as an eyeshadow or use a wet brush to have more control and produce a creamier texture, you will love it either ways.

The blue and green are my go-to pigments when I want to create soft blue/green eyeliner. I just take a thin eye liner brush, wet it, unscrew the pigment, swirl the brush in the little color that is left on the lid and then apply it as thinly or as boldly as I want over or under my lash line.

What I Like about Sensi Professional Eyeshadow Pigments:

  • Superb color pay-off.
  • Buildable color.
  • Colors apply true to how they appear in the pots.
  • Very easy to blend, you can even do so with your fingers or brush.
  • They have a wide range of products.
  • They are from an Arab brand; Arabs have an unmatchable knowledge and expectation in makeup. The outside world may not realize this, but I grew up there. The women there “live” makeup, not just wear it. So, if a brand is from the Middle East, it will definitely be high quality. It’s just that this brand may not have a global reach. The Arabs are very self-content!
  • The silver glittery pigment is my favourite of the lot. It is better than the Faces pigment I have, you don’t need to have an adhesive to apply this color. It will apply on your skin very well. Other glittery pigments just fall off if no adhesive is applied under them.

What I Do Not Like about Sensi Professional Eyeshadow Pigments:

  • They are not, as of now, available in India.
  • They tend to fall out, but every pigment does, so this is not a fault of the brand.

Would I Recommend Sensi Professional Eyeshadow Pigments?

If you can get your hands on them, then yes definitely!! They are worth a try. I wish I had regular access to these but alas, sigh!

IMBB Rating:

4/5, if they were available here in India, I’d give them a 5/5.  I hope they read this and start catering to Indian MUGs (make-up geeks; that’s what Marlena Stell from makeupgeektv on YouTube calls the viewers 😀 I like being a Mug-y :haanji: )

I hope you ladies liked reading about an unknown brand. If you think of IMBB as a school, then Sensi was one of those lesson that the syllabus had to cover, but it probably won’t appear in the final examination, since there are other more “important chapters,” but who knows, maybe one day, you might have to tackle Sensi too. 😉 😀

Happy Makeuping. :mirror:

  2. I love Sensi pigments! 🙂
We get them in Bahrain, where I’m from.
I had the Silver one, the glitters are so difficult to keep on even when applied wet and need eyelash glue all over the lid fr that. :waiting:

    1. Yayyyyyyy! So happy to interact with a fellow Sensi user!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:
The one i have is not pure glitter, like I said, it stays on even when not wet, but yeah maybe my concealor or eyeshadow base helps stick it on…i do apply them before the base or concealor dries off completely, u should try using a creamier base perhaps than just wet? 🙂

  3. nafisa the pigments are gorgeus. I especially loved the greenish gold one. It’s perfect for applying just on the centre of the eye :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

  4. i envy all u ladies who can wear shimmery stuff..and these colors are gorgeous..loved the blue as a color but the gold is definitely more wearable me thinks.. 😉
