My Experience with Sephora Aloe Vera Ultra-Moisturizing and Beautifying Hand Mask:
The hand mask comes in a green sachet package. There is a lot of information at the back of the pack on how to use. However, usage of this mask is pretty straight forward. Once opened, there is a pair of white gloves which are big enough to fit any hand size.
The gloves have been designed and named for easy recognition. There is an adhesive that is used to tighten the glove around your wrist to keep the hand mask in place. The product doesn’t drip or involve any mess. I have also carried the gloves just like that without the sachet and they didn’t dry.
The gloves can be easily separated and used on both the hands. The gloves are made of thin, white plastic like outer coating. The material is of a very good quality and a mesh-like inside cover has the nourishing ingredients. It is creamy in consistency and white in color and has a very pleasant fragrance. I love the fresh smell it has and it imparts the same to the hands when applied.
The mask has to be applied on clean hands and left on for 15-20 minutes. I usually leave the mask for around 30 minutes after scrubbing my hands. The product gets settled at the finger tips, so you need to massage a bit so that the product gets evenly distributed. After removal there is a lot of creamy residue and I massage the remaining product onto my hands.
The product doesn’t leave any residue and gets absorbed by the skin completely. The hands feel very soft and smooth. I noticed that the hands were intensively nourished and had a dose of radiance. The hand mask also eliminated dryness. The product does intensively nourish the skin and corners of the nails. I was really amazed to see the salon-like manicure effect.
However, I realized that I could achieve this with a less expensive moisturizing hand cream, too. I have used the product without exfoliating my hands as well and I noticed that the results were poorer. So, the role of the product in maintaining the beauty of the hands is very little. The mask, however, does add nourishment to the nails and also softens the cuticles, making them easy to remove. The product doesn’t contain paraben, which is great.
The effects on the hands are short lived and they quickly disappear after washing the hands or next day. So the mask can be a good alternative when you need immediate and short term fix. I bought this mask since it contained aloe vera and my hands needed some fix. If not, I wouldn’t recommend the product as a lotion offers you the same benefits.
