My Experience with Sephora Collection Lipstories Lipstick 22 A Little Magic:

Sephora Lip Stories are ultra affordable bullet lipsticks, which are available in a wide variety of shades and three different finishes of matte, metallic, and cream. Sephora have named them as Lipstories as Sephora aims for you to create your own story across social media using these lipsticks with the hashtag #lipstories. They feel like these lipstick shades can evoke a certain memory or even create a new one and each of these lipsticks is inspired by a story, adventure, or experience in your life that has happened or is awaiting for you to create. I think that this is a cute idea and a completely affordable one as well as they are a mere eight US dollars each which means you can happily pick up a few shades without breaking the bank.

Sephora Collection Lipstories Lipstick 22 A Little Magic Packaging

Packaging: The packaging of these is super cute and individualized for each shade. The packaging depicts the stories behind the lipstick shade. For example, a shade called “Berrylicious“ has berry pictures embossed on the cardboard casing. There is also a color-coded band at the bottom of the bullet which depicts the shade of the lipstick. Though the packaging is cute, it still feels cheap as the caps are made out of cardboard, and the bases are made out of plastic. This does not really bother me as the quality of the lipstick itself is amazing and we can’t ask for more with this price.

Shade: As I already told you, there are three finishes in this range: matte, cream and metallic. Depending on which finish you get, either #metal, #matte or #cream is embossed in the side of the lipstick bullet, which is a nice detail. These come in a whooping array of forty shades and there is something for everyone. “A Little Magic” is a gorgeous blue toned red that will look stunning on all complexions.

“All Washed Up” is a beautiful red shade with a hint of pink and this falls under the matte category. This is an universally flattering color that will look good on all skin tones.

Formula: The formula of these lipsticks are amazing. They are super lightweight, comfortable and have a creamy texture that gives an easy and smooth glide across my lips. The pigmentation is incredible and the color is full on opaque in a single swipe. There is no particular fragrance or flavor to these. These apply very well without tugging and pulling and settle to give a satin matte finish.

Staying Power: Since these are regular lipsticks, they last for about four to five hours. They do transfer to everything, but that doesn’t stop them from leaving a stain behind, even when the whole lipstick wear off.

These Sephora lipsticks also have an incredible value for money. They give about 4 g of product for an mere 8$, which is greater than most of the lipsticks in the market. Sephora knows how to do great lipsticks, in the past their liquid lipsticks use to rule and now they have turned the clock with the lipstories. Overall, I love these matte lipsticks as they are really creamy and comfortable and I highly recommend to everyone!
