I am back with Sephora Jumbo liner today which was an impulse buy 😛 Like any shopaholic, I do confess that sometimes I buy things when I see them on sale 😛 And when I noticed this gorgeous pale mauve shimmery liner on sale (that too from my most-liked collection of Sephora), I had to get it! However, I am yet to learn its best usage in my eye makeup as I find it good for highlighting inner corner of the eyes apart from mixing and matching with matte/shimmery eyeshadows. My Experience with Sephora Collection Mauve Shimmer Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Wear Crayon:

Well, the liner comes in sharpen-able pencil packaging with safety cap like the other shades in this range, just that the color of pencil packaging coincides with the respective shade. I find it quite user friendly and travel friendly.

Coming to the shade “28 Mauve Shimmer,” it’s a light shimmery purple as it comes up as a subtle purple with tons of silver shimmer on my eyelids. Surprisingly, it proved to be really good despite my concerns considering the shimmery pale lilac pigmentation. It does look icy and frosty at times.  I am not a pro in makeup, but still, I can assure you that this shimmery purple has a lot of potential and we can make it work like a charm for highlighting our inner corner of the eyes or even as an eyeshadow over our deep matte purple eyeshadows or even giving soft touch over purple/mauve theme eye makeup. So, just don’t get turned off by its frosty pigmentation, friends!

Talking about the texture, like the other shades, it’s quite creamy and slippery on my eyelids and works like a charm with no tugging or pulling. I love how it gives me subtle makeover even with the presence of shimmer, which does not look odd or over the top any time though it might tend to look frosty at times, but it can be worked on, as I said earlier.

I love its staying power of 8-10 hours on my oily lids with primer and/or eyeshadow base, that too with no fading a bit or transferring the shimmers onto my skin, impressive right!? It is also impressive to note that like any Sephora jumbo 12 hour wear liner, this particular shade needs just one to two swipes to deposit maximum color payoff on my eyelids.

It won’t budge a bit or feather around because it’s a waterproof and smudge-proof liner. I find it perfect for everyone irrespective of skin tone and type, it’s a really versatile shade, believe me. I would definitely recommend it to gals who are totally into shimmery makeup and also to mauve/purple glitter fans, they are going to love it the most. Personally, I might not get it again as I always explore and would like to try my hands on every new launch, but I find it really good for the price I paid.

Cons of Sephora Collection Mauve Shimmer Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Wear Crayon:

• The pigmentation might look frosty at times.
• Shimmery mauve is not everyone’s cup of tea.

Well, I feel it can be such a universal shade for eye makeup lovers. However, I am not sure if I would purchase it again as I am more into trying and testing new beauty products and that has got nothing to do with the performance of this product or this particular shade.
