Hope all of you are doing fine! Today, I am here to talk about my latest purchase from Sephora. After getting enough motivation from you all, I finally tried my hands on eye makeup and I quite like this new hobby! I started with simplest and budget friendly (with quality) brand Sephora since I am yet to master that perfect eye makeup. I am so impressed with this sephora eye shadow palette especially after trying Flower and eye products from other brands, which are average. Needless to say, I am totally excited to try eye makeup more often and definitely going to explore all Sephora mono eyeshadows as well as palettes. So, let’s talk about this Mild to Wild Khaki Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette today!
What it is:
A palette of five colorful eye shadows selected to look great alone or in combination for endless makeup effects.
What it does:
These collections of shades each create a certain look or focus on a specific finish. Sephora’s color experts and trainers have chosen specific shades to mix and match for dramatic and everyday eye looks. The high-coverage, intense, and long-lasting colors come in a slim palette with an included mirror and applicator for easy use.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
$11 for 5 colorful eye shadows 0.17 Oz (5.0 g), prices may vary across stores
My Experience with Sephora Collection Mild to Wild Khaki Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette:
Well, Sephora launched these 5 colorful eyeshadow palettes long back in some 13 shades and each one them retails for $25 while I received this particular palette “Mild to Wild Khaki” for only $11. The colors come in sturdy small plastic packaging with see through top. The packaging also accommodates a small mirror and dual ended sponge applicator, to my surprise. Overall, I find it quite cute and travel friendly, in fact worth price I paid for this beauty!
Coming over the eye shadows, Sephora classifies them into 5 shades as: Golden Beige, Olive, Bronze Green, Golden Khaki and Deep Khaki respectively! All the eyeshadows seem powdery in texture, but they give very smooth, velvety finish on eyelids with no fall outs. Amazing! I love how these metallic shimmery eye shades give such non-chalky and smooth finish to eyes. Moreover, I am more impressed to see how intensely pigmented they are irrespective of shimmers.
Yes gals, the first four shades are shimmery in nature while the shade 5 deep khaki is powdery matte and comes up slight subtle on eyes. I loved all 5 shades, though I mostly use shades 2, 3,& 4 i.e Olive, Bronze Green and Golden Khaki which are shimmery yet give intense color pay off in just one touch and they don’t come up frosty on eyes. Needless to say, the shimmers are not OTT; in fact, they come up way subtle on our eyes irrespective of day/night makeup.
I also love their crease free and transfer proof finish which stays put for good 6+ hours with primer. I did attempt both natural & dramatic eye makeup look mentioned behind the packaging and found both of them perfect on my skin tone. Even the intense dramatic look seems wearable during day time and I am very hopeful to set my hands and start using them every day. On a personal note, I did find out that smoky, intense dramatic look works much better on my skin tone and in synchronization with my overall appearance, and not the natural look.
I also noticed that sponge applicator included works great in giving even finish apart from gently blending and smoothing eye makeup while I use its tapered brush for filling in eyebrows and for lining eyelashes and/or illuminating inner corner of my eyes. Yes gals, this palette comes up with multipurpose shades such as Golden khaki and Deep Khaki which can also be used to fill in our eye brows. I have black-brown eyebrows, hence I found the Deep Khaki shade workable for filling in my eye brows.
The small tapered brush applicator helps to fill my eyebrows gaps precisely other than smoothing my eyebrows to give fuller and nicely arched brows, though I am yet to do it with perfection. The tapered brush gives very defined and precise lines around eyelashes and I often love to wear the Golden Khaki, olive and Bronze Green closer to my lashes with this brush. It certainly replaced eyeliner brush for beginner like me apart from serving as an eyebrow brush too!
I so love this palette and find myself reaching for it almost every day. There is nothing I dislike about this particular palette and shades, to be honest! They are so long lasting even on my oily eyelids that too in summers around, look at their intense pigmentation and the finish; right from the shade itself to their color pay off on eyes everything is superb! I will definitely get it and other shades soon while I recommend it to everyone. You should check it out as it is quite cheap and worth trying gals!

Cons of Sephora Collection Mild to Wild Khaki Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette:
• Packaging needs improvement
• Presence of mica, talc in formulation might bother sensitive skin
Well honestly, I don’t have issues with the packaging. However, if I am paying 25 bucks for same palette, I would definitely like to get more sturdy packaging and both quantity with quality. I mean for 11 dollars, this is fairly a cheap product; in fact, price worthy deal to be specific! You should check it out, it is really amazing. I am already thinking to get another variant soon.
