Skin tone: fair-light, yellow-neutral undertones
Lip condition: dry normal lip texture with mild pigmentation
How are you doing today? I am here to share another metallic finish lipstick with you all from Sephora. Honestly, I was never into metallic or shimmery lipsticks but, after trying a few shimmer finish products, I have started to like such finishes for certain ocassions. I like how they amp up any boring lipstick or makeup look. I can see how a generous or even a gentle touch of this lipstick gives me a look that’s worth a million bucks, especially with my little black dresses and gowns. So let’s read more about Sephora Collection R25 Desire Rouge Cream Lipstick!
What it is:
A hydrating lipstick that creates full lips with intense color.
What it does:
A revamp of the iconic Sephora Lip Attitude Chic, this new hydrating formula provides improved coverage and is rife with pigment. The creamy texture softly glazes your lips, imparting just the right amount of color and sheen.

My Experience with Sephora Collection R25 Desire Rouge Cream Lipstick:
This lipstick comes in the traditional Sephora black bullet packaging with a color-coded base. At times, it really works to just sneak at the base and grab the desired lipstick shade; I would feel lost in the pool of Sephora lipsticks, otherwise. I could not detect any significant fragrance in this product. I like its user-friendly & travel-friendly concept.
My shade “R25 Desire” is described as a metallic finish coral red shade, and it is true to its description. I have never seen such a bright coral red before in my stash though I do see this color combination in high-end brands. I love how it provides saturated coral red pigmentation on my lips as it has an apt balance of coral and red along with shimmers. I am impressed to see that it does not look OTT as it has optimum level of shimmers. The shimmers are there just glam up my lips with high metallic sheen; the shimmers do not look frosty or icy on lips. The shade might look tricky in flash photography but in person it looks coral red with high metallic sheen, just the way I would love to sport it.
Coming over to the texture, I am equally impressed with its slippery formula which easily slips on my normal dry lips while forgiving minor dryness. I do feel a need of scrubbing and hydrating lips prior using metallic lipsticks as they may slightly cling to dry patches. But, with this lipstick, you can skip this step as this one does not emphasize dry patches. It does provide sheer to buildable coverage depending upon the number of swipes. I like how it never appears cakey or flaky even after 3-4 swipes.
It also tells that beauties with pigmented lips might need multiple swipes and/or a lip liner to start with as this shade might be too sheer for deeply pigmented lips. However, I never wear any lip liner or feel the need of using one either as this shade easily camouflages the light black patches on my lips. It also lets go of minor dryness on my lips. I need 2-3 swipes for nearly full color pay off with smooth finish. It is not a very hydrating formula still it does not feel uncomfortable on the lips.
Oh yes, it is neither overly hydrating nor drying on the lips; it does not bleed or feather either. Overall, I find it certainly true to its claims as it stays on for good 5-6 hours on my lips with light meals. It also leaves a soft sheen on my lips after one heavy meal. Not to forget, it gives a saturated and nearly full color pay off on lips which will work for a variety of skin tones and lip textures. This lipstick will even work for beauties with dry lips & pigmented lips. I might get it again considering the price, quality, and finish of this lipstick.
