It is a fact that you can never go wrong with a smoky eye look. Smoky eyes just look good on everybody. Be it a subtle and soft smoky eye look for a day event or even a full-on smoky eye look for and evening party, smoky eyes look good on everyone and on every occasion. So here I am, reviewing one of my go-to palettes that I use to create a smoky eye look. The product I am reviewing is Sephora Collection Colorful 5 eyeshadow palette in the shade “Smoky Black.” It contains 5 different grey tones and is perfect for creating a beautiful smoky eye look. My Experience with Sephora Collection Smoky Black Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette:
Packaging: The thing about Sephora collection eyeshadow palettes is that they keep changing their packaging every year or so, so the packaging that I have my product in, is a round palette that has 5 shades of eyeshadows, very aesthetically arranged in them. The palette is very sturdy and looks stylish and trendy too. It is a comparatively less bulky eyeshadow palette and is in fact very travel friendly. It doesn’t however come with a mirror inside or neither does it have it’s own brush but as long as you have your blending brush, you are good to go.
Shades: This eyeshadow palette contains 5 different tones of grey. All these shades are very beautiful and wearable at the same time. The first shade is a silvery white. This shade contains a good amount of glitter in it. I mostly use this shade as a highlight for my brow bone as well as for the purpose of inner corner highlighting. The second shade is a matte grey. This shade is again very beautiful. It is definitely one of my favorite grey tones of all time. I wear this shade alone, on its own too when I’m in a hurry because it is a such a pretty shade.
The third shade is my absolute favorite shade from this palette. It a grey glitter eyeshadow. It looks absolutely gorgeous on the eyes. It contains chunky glitter and looks very party appropriate. This shade is perfect if you want to get your glam game on point.
The fourth shade is medium grey/silver. This shade is perfect for applying all over the lid and once you have this shade all over your lid, you can work around with the rest of the shades.
The fourth shade is the one that no smoky eye look is complete without. It is matte black shade. This shade is a dark/ grey black kind of color and great for applying on the outer v of the eye as well as under the bottom lash line.
Texture and Pigmentation: The texture of these eyeshadows is brilliant. They are super smooth and don’t feel chalky at all. They blend like a dream and work well with just about any brush that you are using. There is almost no fallout with these eyeshadows. These eyeshadows turn out the best if you first prime your eyelids and apply a concealer underneath so as to bring out the true shade of these eyeshadows. The pigmentation is pretty good too. I won’t say that these eyeshadows are insanely pigmented, but they are definitely pigmented enough that I don’t have any issues with it. The staying power is up to 6 hours on me with a makeup setting spray on top.
