I have another eyeliner today up for review. Yes! I am on an eyeliner roll. 😛 I am not very good at eye makeup and so I hoard up eyeliners as they can bring an instant pop of color to my eyes and I can get away with minimal eye makeup. 😉

My Experience with Sephora Collection Smoky Green Long Lasting Kohl Pencil:

Sephora Collection Long-Lasting Kohl Pencil in “Smoky Green” comes in a sharpen-able pencil form. The pencil is black in color with a color-coded end. I have to store them upside down for easy identification in my stash. It has a black plastic cap which closes nicely, so there is no tension of mess in the handbag. It sharpens well and there is minimal product wastage during sharpening.

“Smoky Green” is a truly a dark smoky green color. It is a very deep shade and matte too. There is no shimmer or shine, and is very subdued. This shade is good for ladies who want a change from black but do not want to experiment too much with color, as this one is not a loud shade. There are 5 more shades in this range and except one (Infinite Beige), all the other colors are deeper shades. These eyeliners are safe for waterline too.

The pigmentation of the product is good and it deposits around 70% color in one stroke on upper lash line. However, I have to go over a couple of times to make it darker on lash line and waterline too. It goes on smoothly and does not tug, pull or drag at all.

Now comes the worst part, the staying power. 🙁 Even when applied heavily, it starts to fade in around 2 hours from the waterline and lower lash line. If I apply just one stroke, there is almost no sign of it after around 2 hours. On my upper lash line too, 4 hours is the maximum wear time and intensity is reduced to almost half in 2 hours or so. 🙁 My eyelids become oily on some days and it transfers on my eyelids. 🙁 Now, who wants an eyeliner which needs a touch-up every 2 hours!!! :/ With an eye primer, the performance is a bit better. If it is still there by the end of it, it comes off easily with an eye makeup remover.

• Comes off easily with eye makeup remover.

Cons of Sephora Collection Smoky Green Long Lasting Kohl Pencil:

• Very poor staying power.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Sephora Collection Smoky Green Long Lasting Kohl Pencil?

Well, no to both. Though the product is not pricey, I would still prefer paying a few more bucks and buying a product which has a good staying power. I would instead buy more shades from Sephora Collection Shadow and Liner range.
